We need to be patient today

First off let me just add I think we’ll win today but if we don’t I hope we don’t see the over reactions we had mid week on here, and I hope the riverside crowd don’t get edgy either.

The championship is a tough league and no side has a Devine right to win. We are having an amazing season under carrick and his team and if we do miss out on second then dont forget the play offs seemed by many to be a pipe dream in October when he arrived and now they are all but secured.

Keep the faith and let’s trust the process.

Come on boro.

It's down to the players to go out and show some intent to win the game. That starts from the first whistle and goes all the way to the last.
We can't afford to let teams get a foothold in games otherwise there is a risk that our MF might get owned again.

We should all summon our inner Carrick calmness UTB

at the game I am totally absorbed in the action and when things are not going so well I ghet edgy - absolutely nothing I can do about it!

I'm more concerned that due to Burnley, Sheff Utd, Blackburn and West Brom not playing this weekend, all 4 teams will have a game in hand on us until Apr 25th , and one of Sheff or Blackburn will have 2 games in hand past the FA semi final weekend. I'm totally ok with it , but over the last few weeks the SU game in hand seemed to produce much consternation and worry on quite a few posters on this board. I'm not sure everyone knows this is coming our way. Four teams around us ( Burnley does mean something as it determines when they can confirm Promo and when they can confirm winning the league, which will affect things around who they play after those milestones ) Anyway, 4 teams with a game in hand on us from 5pm today, going to kick off on here big time when that realisation hits 😄

I’ll take points on the board over games in hand any day. Plus it means we get more training and recovery days which is a positive.

What can’t afford to lose and Luton and Millwall win, otherwise we are looking over our shoulders again, no mishaps today, thorough professional job….👍

Hit a bit of form Preston, and on their day they are not a bad team. And they've beaten us last 3 times they've played us.........so absolutely no guarantee we'll do them.

I just hope we don't look as tired as we did against Stoke, and our passing is more crisp and accurate. If it is, we'll win. Similar performance, we'll struggle.

Agree with the OP, patience and we have to set the tempo and play our own game 👍

Preston are flying - 7 unbeaten.

They will certainly make it very tough for us.

As said be patient - a win would be a great result.

Ref Gentry Day - if we had one it would be Holgate in the Sky Day - maybe we should have Holgate Day once a season?

Whilst Preston are unbeaten in 7 games, they have 4 draws in there and 3 of them were 0-0. They will be tough to breakdown but its not like Stoke who had scored 8 in 2 games

I’d be happy if Sheff Utd got to the semi final, as it means from Good Friday they would have to play 2 games a week until the end of the season, they will also have Wembley as a distraction
