We need an exceptional January transfer window

corrected it for you

it was only 2 weeks ago that you pasted your diatribe of non-sense & panic.

perhaps a little patience, perspective and support for Middlesbrough Football Club, instead of taking a Morning Star to attack them at every opportunity.
Clueless, truly clueless. Very rare to offer an opinion - just criticise those who have. Do us both a favour and ignore my posts entirely. Trouble is - you can’t.

Weaknesses throughout the team need addressing that’s apparent. Without this? There’s a fair chance we could get relegated. I see the old trait of looking at clubs to lose who are around us is starting to be trotted out!

Should we be reliant on others “ being worse than us” to save our bacon?

The trouble is can we identify - and more importantly - get the right players in? I have to say recent experiences put a very large question mark against this happening.

Scott - on dealings to date- completely offers no confidence at all. In fact he is pretty useless.

So I hope Carrick is brought into player selections. I see Craig Dawson wants out at West Ham . I would say this would be a useful acquisition. Would he cost a few quid in wages? Absolutely. That’s a bullet we may have to bite to try and ensure we remain in this division
After a decent start to carrick would you still want a centre half nosmo? I think a left winger and cover in midfield is a must. If Craig Dawson did become available to us we would be daft to say no too.

I think Mowatt will want out so that could be an opportunity to look at strengthening midfield.

Possibly Muniz might go the same way.

I think the key going forward is ensuring we keep this squad of players fit. I would only replace a player who goes out. If there is an urge to strengthen then I would look at a good left back (as he doesnt seem to rate Bola) so that Giles can play further forward.

McNair too I think

If possible, we should focus on getting/signing our own players rather than too many loans. Loans should hopefully be a last option or if a really good option comes up.

Central defence looking a lot stronger and robust now. Woody could have influenced this. So not as important. Agree on midfield. As for the wide berth I would seriously consider Willis - his development could be fast- like him!

Every window the same people identify the players, sign the players and write the contracts. Every window we get weaker and lose money.

Why will this January be any different?

Well OP, that aged like milk.

On a serious note, there will be a good number of players who will be moved on and Carrick has plenty of time to get those he needs.

Relegation is not a risk, never was once Wilder was kicked into touch. I agree that Jan is not the time for major signings. Prices are often inflated by big clubs in trouble.

Agree with Willis, I would like another though so we could rotate. Rajiv Van La Parra would fit the bill perfectly!

I agree that a good number of players will be moved on , maybe 10 by the end of the season/ start of next season.
I am not worried about relegation now , more looking upwards, and I believe MC will think the same and want to bring his players in to go for it this season . It all hinges on , will they try for promotion THIS season?
Deals to be made, lets put our trust in MC to get it right .

Four or five becomes two or three when we’re dipping into the academy and hopefully securing the futures of some players out of contract in the summer.

Akpom, Hackney, Akpom.. midfielder and a winger Maybe?

Could be Conteh and Willis?

Back up for McNair with Hannah, back up for Clarke with Bilongo

Coburn in for Muniz and we start looking very much connected with the academy!

Cant see more than a few tweaks in January.. although this season will be easier than next imo.

Probably another five of six in the summer?
