We must keep Chuba. (#KEEPCHUBA).

We got big money for Tav and, unexpectedly, for Djed Spence but selling a striker like Chuba is different. For years we have cried out for a 20 goal a season striker. Now we finally have one. Not only does he score goals but he links the play up brilliantly. He seems to love it here so, hopefully, Gibbo will push the boat out again and put him on a top contract. Chuba is the fans favourite, displayed at the start of each game when his name is announced. If we keep him and he gets us up, he will be a Boro legend. (y)

I’d love to keep him but I am braced for it not happening. If he stays, big boost on 1st September, but the way some PL clubs spend I think even a new contract might not completely fend off interest.

I don't think we got "big money" for Tav. I'd be tempted to cash in on Chuba if we got an offer of "big money" unless he signs a new contract during the summer.

I'd take the money if it was big enough. Chuba has had a great season but it's pretty much a one off. Can he do it again? Who knows.

£20m or whatever would fund a couple of very good Championship players

No way we get more than £20m for Chuba in my opinion, maybe if he was 3 or 4 years younger.

There’s talk of Mason Mount going to Man United for £55m and he only has one hear left of his contract. A Championship striker, in his last year, who’s just only just struck gold in front of gold at 27 wouldn’t go for more than a third of that.

Its an ideal time for Chuba to leave of the back of an exeptional season figures wise. One year left on his contract as well. What if he doesnt hit the high notes 23/24 season he may not get the contract he can now when he is sought after...... career wise he should go. Cant see Boro paying premier wages on a new contract offer at all.

Heard from someone today that a deal with Palace is already done. His family are down there still, they never moved up North.
Mam and Dad etc maybe but, as far as I know (?) Chuba is single so no wife and kids involved. If his Mam and Dad sell their house in London, they could buy a mansion up here!

It won't be down to us, it'll be down to him. At his age this next contract is the difference between him being financially secure for life and still having to work. I think the best we can hope for is him seeing out his contract but then we lose him for nowt.

Max we will offer him I'm guessing would be £30k a week. But the likelihood is if a PL club will pay £10-12m and give him £70k a week then he'd obviously go, and whether it works out or not, he's securing his families future. I won't blame him if he goes, I'd do the same in his position.

Anybody footballer can earn good money but can they earn legendary status at a Football Club? The favourite at Boro or 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th choice behind Zaha, Eze, Edouard, Ayew…

We're a selling club and always will be when we're in this division. It's one of the reasons why I was desperate to see us get promoted.

If we receive an offer of £15m I can see the club accepting it, and if Chuba wants to go we shouldn't try to stand in his way.

No no no
Career wise he should stay with the man who got him where he is today

Money wise he could get a big move for lots of money and be financially sorted with a 3 year deal somewhere in the premier league.

If his career and starting games along with a very good contract and a promise of significantly more should we get promoted then you’d think it’s the smarter approach for chuba because taking the big money and running is not very often the right approach

Hes 27,,, maybe last chance for the big time and big bucks

We can not afford to turn down £15M plus, it really is that simple. Some fans really do over egg his worth. So far he is a one season wonder, he had great creative players around him. Previously he didn’t have that type of player. If I were him I’d look at where my goals came from and look at the squad currently. That would tell me to leave. I hope he doesn’t go, but common sense tells me he will. The silence is deafening. If both parties wanted it done, a deal would be signed by now.

It's far too big a gamble to keep him into the last year of his contract. He could leave next summer for nothing, so he'd get a good contract somewhere, especially if he has another great season. If he doesn't have a great season then Boro won't be promoted and he'll leave anyway.

Sell now and Boro maximise their return on him, funding a couple of good players to replace him.

It's a no brainer.
