We have had the Championship's biggest crowd of the season

Nice one, I reckon that would mean some of the quoted numbers for others would be down about 1k then, especially since most of them aren't as "new".
Depends what they have to done add TV gantries/studios, big screens, hospitality, enhanced disabled options etc

Isn't the safety cert bit to do with segregation? As in we would use every seat for an event, but for segregation we lose about 750 seats, as we can increase/ decrease the size of the away bit?

Quite possibly.
Not sure how many physical seats we have now.
I do know that our current segregation seats can be seen from space.

I know it'll upset the red faction but if they put the away end back to where it was originally that would see the need for only one side of the away end to be segregated freeing up more seats. If we get back in the prem i wonder if this would be an option the club would choose to maximise revenue for high demand games

We lost a couple of hundred with the new TV didn't we?

And another lot when the press gallery moved? And the other PL changes in the revamp.

The segregation would just be made narrower with a wall of stewards / coppers if required I reckon, except for a game with a bit of niggle with the opposing fans I think.

But seems Newcastle, Leeds, Derby and Sunderland won't be in the PL with us next season we'll be reet..............

🤪

yeah, I mentioned we had the biggest a couple of weeks ago. I would like to think we will top it at some point, and be in the top 3 for average crowds by end of the season. Probably 25K+ tomorrow, but I'd like us to get a couple more 30ks under our belt in the next few games. The team deserve that kind of backing for recent performances

There's no need to free up more seating though, and it would break up by far the best part of the stadium for atmosphere to benefit away fans.

The only issue with the way things are right now is the excessice segregation around the away end makes it look quieter than it is on footage.
