We go to bed with the same thoughts we wake up to in the morning

Woke up this morning at 5 & the 1st thing I did was look at my phone, hoping that something positive had happened through the night

Sadly I don’t think there’s a magic bullet. Things will hopefully get gradually better but checking your phone hoping its all about to end imminently is probably not the best way to view it. No offence intended. Hopefully we get it under control soon but it won’t be for a while yet.

Perhaps a little bit of good news. Perhaps not suitable for large scale testing as takes 2 1/2 hours a test. At least it is a step in the right direction.

Your right mate, think it's just a little bit of hope then realism that it's going to be a while

My husband died of liver cancer a year ago and the funeral was held a year tomorrow and I tell him how much I love him before I go to sleep at night and first thing, when I wake up in the morning. Before that I pray that a dear and close friend who has COPD, Asthma and is 71 manages to get through the next few months.

Sorry to hear that, 😔

I lost my lovely beautiful kind close friend last night to this terrible virus. I’d give anything to have a gossip with her one more time and to hear her say it as it is in Yorkshire style. All I can say is it’s so easy to text or whats app instead of picking up the phone to talk. I so wish I had done that yesterday instead of being ‘too busy at work’ . Her symptoms were not the obvious ones & despite diagnosis she died at home alone. Please take care of your loved ones

Sorry for your loss Habibi x

I hope, though doubt, that people & esp our leaders will realise; in no small part to the virus that is non-discriminatory of - race, gender, religion or none, - we are one small planet & need to disarm the nationalistic bombast & the capitalistic greed that we've been brought up on ( even 'Communist' China has billionaires!? ) for a fairer & more unified population & governance..

I doubt it massively - I expect, especially with the current incumbents: Putin, Trump, Modi & Jinping.. never mind the religious zealots - we're just going to get more of the same, if not worse in the short term..

As for a vaccine fear big pharma will screw us to the wall on costs.. ( I'm more hopeful I'm wrong on this one though ) I think most of us will be exposed gradually to form a herd immunity with the most vulnerable remaining shielded until the vaccine arrives in the longer term..

Until then it Corona Groundhog..

** tragic to hear, Habibi, John...
