Watmore’s message to fans

Gutted to see him leave but it's the best thing for both parties. He'll hopefully get plenty of game-time and it means we won't end up losing him for nothing in the summer.

I love this quote in particular...

Didn't here anything like that from Rudy / Britt / Fletcher and the countless others who fleeced us. You wouldn't get half the effort from any of them.

Just a class bloke. He gave everything on the pitch. I just think it was an ideal time for both parties.

I'm slightly sad he's leaving. I still think he offers more than Muniz and Hoppe. Then again I absolutely understand the security of a better deal for him and his family. Especially after the years he's had.

He definitely leaves with my blessing.

I'd say pound for pound one of our best bits of buisness in years. He probably cost less in total than loaning Connally.

I think it's a great move for him. Millwall fans will love his all action style.
 
Love the guy probably my favourite player of the last 3 or 4 seasons. I remember someone on here describing him fondly as like dog chasing an empty packet of crisps blowing in the wind

Hope he gets the game time he deserves for the rest of his career. He's such an intelligent bloke I am sure he will have a successful career post playing as well.

Watmore wrote slightly more, but he wasn't on social media, and didn't leave on the back of a load of abuse.
He had an almost entirely positive experience here.

Again, I don't understand the bitterness towards them.

Gestede didn't send a goodbye message, but the manner of his departure and the reaction probably made him think against doing so.
 
I always say, if a player gives 100% in a Boro shirt, our fans will always have their back. Duncan never ever let us down and worked his socks off every time he played for us. He was such a nice lad you just wanted him to succeed and he did just that. He scored some fantastic goals and will always be fondly remembered on Teesside.

All the best Duncan, I hope you smash it at Millwall and look forward to giving you a big round of applause next time you face the Boro 👏.
 
Scored some excellent goals, missed some absolute sitters. Always gave his all, and was Warnock's best bit of canny operating. Good luck and come back any time!
 
Only here a few seasons butvv be took his chance and became an integral and inspirational member of the first team.. put in some great performances and never stopped running.. good luck fella just don’t score against us..
 
Good luck Duncan at the New Den, you will be missed. It was a pleasure to watch you these last few seasons, a first class professional. Now remember, you can score against Boro’s top six rivals and help the Boro into the playoffs.
