Who was responsible for this latest craze of attaching the lid to your drinks bottles? It is supposedly to be good for the environment as it keeps the top and the bottle together after you use it. WTF! First of all your nose gets in the way when you drink out of it. Secondly, have you tried to rescrew it back onto the bottle? Rather than take a second, it can take up to 30 seconds to realign the top into the screw thread. In the end it is easier to cut it off with scissors! How many bottles do people drink? 25 seconds longer x bottle x people who buy them in the world. What a waste of your life. Who comes up with these ideas? Wish the Boro would win a game. I’m getting grouchy in my old age.

The first thing I do on opening these is pull the top off so it's like it used to be, which leaves a nice piece of sharp plastic you have to avoid while drinking.

Gone the same as the old ring pull on cans. Change sometimes is good you know. I'm used to them now but I do drink a lot of coke.

I just carry a plastic cup around me and decant as I need it. Problem solved.
I’m picturing Cambsred walking about in his Boys Scout uniform carrying his Swiss Army Knife, first aid kit, compass, plastic cup and a piece of string. 🤣🤣🤣

That lad listened to Baden Powell - Be Prepared, and will be the envy of his mates when he decanters his water into his cup. 🤣🤣🤣

Have you tried rotating the bottle so the lid isn't at the nose position? (Apologies if you just have an unusually large nose).

Along a similar theme that has been frustrating me recently is that milk bottles now have clear plastic lids instead of the traditional blue/green and I keep attempting to pour the milk with the lid still on because it looks like it is off or losing the lid once it is off because it's now small and see through.

Also in this list is milk containers where the tab comes off on the piece of foil/paper to rip it off with when you unscrew the lid. Never used to happen but seems to happen all the time now

electric insulation tape... comes in red , green and blue , so before you put the milk in the fridge , cut a bit off of the needed colour and attach loosely to the top. Obv , remove tape before the recycle part of the project. I don't need this tip as I use mainly long life milk and that still comes in colour appropriate boxes, but happy to help nontheless

The little tab on the foil top, under the cap on a new milk bottle, are useless. They just break off and you have to use your finger nail or a knife to get the foil off!
