Warnock on Saville (his next door neighbour)

“I’m living next door to him as well and I had to give him it a bit the other night," Warnock said. "His dogs were barking.

“He came to the door and I said, ‘Just because you’re playing well it doesn’t mean you can let your dogs bark all b***** night!”

Warnock may not appreciate the bark of Saville's dogs, but he'll be loving the bite of the player himself this season.

Loved this part of the presser! Love Saville and I love Warnock.

Presumably they both living on the Rockcliffe complex. Surprised George hasn't found a house?

well, they live in a house. They’re just on the Rockliffe grounds.
Without ties to the area it’s hard to see why you’d want to go elsewhere! Although they’re not very flash but he doesn’t seem a guy that needs to be living in a mansion

:LOL::LOL: Brilliant.

The bloke is a breath of fresh air.

Wish we signed him 3/4 managers ago!

They may not be mansions, but some of the houses on Pilmore Mews are pretty big.

Yep my wording was a little clumsy.I wasn't suggesting he didn't live in a house but one he bought himself? I may be wrong but are the houses there owned by the Club? - I assumed they would be short term options for players (and managers) pending finding their own. Understandable that NW is in temp house as he is short term. Interesting comment that GS' family haven't relocated possibly which would then make sense.

The houses are owned and let by the company that owns Rockliffe Hall. MFC might have a few on permanent let, but anyone can rent there.

I don’t think I’d be in a rush to buy if I was a footballer moving to a new area either. All the fees and that when buying and selling. Better off just renting. You might be off in a year.
And where better to rent a house than next door to the training ground!

Wonder if Jordan Rhodes has sold that house he bought up here yet

Agree with that, as long as the player has a local base and is not doing a ridiculous commute then I don’t see any thing wrong with it.

A lot of players don’t stay more than 2 or 3 seasons which means that by the time you’ve sold up and uprooted the family a couple of hundred miles they just get settled in and it’s time to move again.

I would have thought that providing accommodation would be part of his contract, I know it sounds a bit fickle but agents would squeeze every single drop of blood before the player signs on the dotted line.
