Did anyones else get the same impression as me here?

"It’ll depend on what offers Yannick gets, I suppose"

Followed straight on from his Kebano comments, so i'm wondering if hes suggesting we can probably afford one or the other. I.E if Bolasie goes we can maybe afford Kebano. So the ball is in bolasies court.

That's how I read it anyway.

Who would you prefer?

I'd build the forward line around Bolasie, he can play left, right and through the middle, we lose them both next year and we are in big trouble imo

By press reports Bolasie earns £70k a week with Everton. I cant imagine in the current climate wed be able to offer 15-20% of that, so like NW states, it would depend on what other offers he gets.

I’d keep Assombalonga and Fletcher, because I think.... hang on, my nurse has come with my medication. That’s better, Kebano or Bolasie, I’d prefer we kept both but otherwise either one would be positive.

Kebano is allegedly on £13 k a week! Would like him although doubtful we could afford him plus there would be a transfer fee I believe.

Depends on what website you see. Just seen one saying hes on £45k a week after signing a new 2 year deal when they got promoted to the PL.

I just took it as meaning that we're not going to match daft wages from abroad.

We're not going after Kebank because it would take a fee and it sounds like most our business will be loans and frees again.

It must only cost 3 million to buy Kebano surly we can afford that lol. Gibson just spend jeez put it on the credit card like Perez at Madrid does 😂

Kebano has done well here, Bolasie OK, if he could get his shots on target mind he'd be top drawer

Bolasie will not get a prem contract, he could go see his days out in the sun somewhere, he could get an offer from a relegated side, as a squad player. I think we will offer him a fair contract of 15-20k, then it's all about selling him the vision as the experienced man to lead the team forward. Hopefully he has started to enjoy playing again and can see a good future here.

Kebano, any idea what the transfer fee would be? He's 29, Fulham signed him for 4mill 5 years ago. So there's about 800k in value left on that contract. If he's on 13k that's 650k in wages left. He only started 28 league games in those 5 years at Fulham. I'm not so sure it'll be that excessive a fee. Maybe 1mill, at a push they may want 1.5m

I don't think you can read too much into Warnocks comments, as every potential summer signing will be influenced by offers from elsewhere.

I'd expect some of the relegated teams to be interested in both (including Kabano's parent club), so its depends on what we see as a fair offer - the more we pay, the less we can spend elsewehere.

I think Kebano has been good for us but you can tell that Bolasie just has that little bit of extra quality which can make a big difference in this division.

I actually don’t expect we will manage to keep either of them.
