Warnock is my favourite ever Boro manager

Big Jack without doubt. Mclaren next on the basis of his success with the Club. 3rd Robbo. I judge by how much enjoyment I got watching their teams and the first two were up there.

I totally agree with that 100%, I've said the very same to my family

There'll be such a massive buzz, it'll be unreal, though we have a long way to get there yet
btw I was a year older yesterday - but I didnt bother celebrating. Im one digit ahead of you for now;)

Happy belated birthday roofie lad, its just a number, we're all still young at heart

If I've got it correct, the 1st Boro match after you were born was 23rd January 1960, Boro 3 Liverpool 3, a brace from Clough & a Harris penalty & the 1st Boro game on your birthday was 21st January 1961 a 3-2 defeat at Southampton, with another Harris penalty & a Peacock strike 👍

Them were the days lad (y) ;) :D

Big Jack
Rioch
Robbo
For me with big shouts to Maddren, McLaren,

Warnock is getting to me even though I didn't want him. He has achieved nothing yet though. Hopefully that will be put right this season. He gives great press conferences yes but Strachan was always good for a quote or two. But he was the worst and I am not comparing Warnock with that clown.
Strachan's press conferences were abysmal. Quotable for all the wrong reasons and not enjoyable at all.

Warnock is on course to move us up by 25 points over one season (and approx 10 places), without spending a bean really, if anything the wage bill has been cut. Thats more than any previous manager bare Big Jack in 1973/4 who probably increased us by approx 25 points too and only bought Murdoch to achieve it.

1. Robbo/McClaren - the successful ones
2. Warnock/Venebles - the talented ones
3. Mowbray/Southgate - the good eggs
4. Karanka/Pulis - the pragmatists
5. Woodgate/Agnew - the out of their depths
6. Monk/Strachan - the total chancers

Great shout with Venables. Such a talented manager, shame he didn't stay on at the end of the season as I'm sure he would have been even more successful than McClaren if he was given the same financial backing.

Rioch was before my time but I can see why he would be a favourite for many. What he achieved, with mainly local lads, was nothing short of remarkable.

John Neal was a quiet but very good manager , brought through some very good players & a good blend of exp & Youth, liked him. I do like the straight up no rubbish way Warnock conducts interviews & questions , hated him elsewhere ,but when he runs your club you see the appeal he has had wherever he has been. Long may he stay

Have to say, it's Sir Jack and Sir Bruce for me but Neil is up there with them. And I have to add that I have never 'liked' a manager as much in all my time supporting this club. I genuinely love listening to him and I think he plays some lovely stuff and don't know where this long ball, negative reputation came from.

I hope he's here for a long time and also hope he has a say in our next manager.

Warnock is outstanding. His media conferences are a master class. I wish he was with us when he was 50 as we would have had 22 years of him. Outstanding bloke and manager.
Totally agree BigJohn, I would think NW has been passionate at whatever club he managers, knowing what the clubs fans want to hear

Imagine not having Strachan, Agnew, Monk Pulis & Woodgate!

It would have been worth not having Mowbray and Karanka imo

Neil is undoubtedly my favourite Manager of Boro ever. However Big Jack is without doubt my favourite ever Boro manager 😉
Big jack and NW very similar. Honest and knowledgeable about players and how to man manage them and tactical prowess

Robbo needed venables to sort his mess out and SMAC was a very defensive coach with loads of cash to spend and didn’t care for our club like big jack or NW do. End of

Right man at the right time, saved the club from the bug drop and built the spine of a promotion winning side. Came and left as a hero in my book.
Totally agree with all that Newy, my point was the abuse he would receive & he did & could have tarnished his image forever, thankfully it didn't
