Warnock is my favourite ever Boro manager

High praise indeed I know. Been following the Boro since 1994 when my dad took me to my first game at Ayresome Park. We have had some good (McClaren) and some shocking (we know who they are) over the years. But in terms of everything that I like and expect from a manager, Warnock ticks all the boxes.

His passion is second to none, even at 72 years of age. I love his honesty, he tells it exactly as it is. Watching his press conference on the Boro website the day before a game is genuinely one of the highlights of my week, especially at the minute with not a lot going on. What he expects from players is exactly what us Boro fans expect from players. He's said it on a number of occasions that he wants the players to die for him during a game. That's all us Boro fans want, we're not like them barcodes up the road. If we see each and every player giving their all, we can accept getting beat.

He seems like the perfect fit for us as a club and my only disappointment is that he never got the job years earlier. Lets hope we can get another few years out of him because we're in a very good place at the minute. Especially after what has been a depressing few years to be a Boro fan.

One thing for certain is that when the fans are allowed back in, he will get a fantastic reception from us, UTB.

I woukd say he's up there with Robbo as my favourite manager at the Riverside

As you say he knows what fans want to see from their players, he's passionate & cares about the club, can't wait for the day when the grounds open, if I get a ticket mind

He's certainly the most quotable. Almost every one a gem eg: The quote about Neil Harris being disrespectful when taking over from him at Cardiff. Or calling to Sam Morsy at Forest and telling him to ask the nearest Forest player if he was refereeing the match, "'cos the referee certainly effing isn't."

And on top of that he's getting much more out of a similar squad than his predecessors.

😁

When (IF) the grounds ever fully reopen I'd be surprised if there wasn't a close to capacity attendance. A large majority would probably want to take their first opportunity to praise Warnock if his form continues, but also being starved of live football for a year+ and not least our current position in the Division. Of course it's all pie in the sky for the foreseeable future isn't it. Will we see even one home game this season?

I actually think some fans will be disappointed & miss out on a ticket, sell outs all around the country is my thought

Jack takes some beating, but in the days of social media and the club more in tune with presenting with the managers views then NM is without doubt the best Riverside manager.... Robbo and McLaren achieved good things but had a much better pool of players.... think stan anderson would have been in the NM mould if he was around today managing , always had a "old dad" communication style and a great Durham (Horden) accent...

Yep I said earlier, Robbo or Neil for me at the Riverside

Big Jack
Rioch
Robbo
For me with big shouts to Maddren, McLaren,

Warnock is getting to me even though I didn't want him. He has achieved nothing yet though. Hopefully that will be put right this season. He gives great press conferences yes but Strachan was always good for a quote or two. But he was the worst and I am not comparing Warnock with that clown.

Strachan - nightmare - never fitted in, always on the defensive with the local press and downright rude. Not approachable and a **** communicator, can only imagine what he was like with the players

Yes you have to have Willie Maddren in there

I look at NW in the same way as WM & big Mal

WM made some excellent signings but the club was too far gone & as proved it had to hit the buffers before the club could start to turn things around
Malcolm Allison brought life in to the club, he only had about 15 players to work with & done wonders on limited resources
John Neal, I loved his time at the Boro, we dhould have won a trophy, or got to a major final

So for me

Big Jack

John Neal

Willie Maddren / Bruce Rioch

Malcolm Allison / Neil Warnock / Bryan Robson

It would be hard to split those managers I've placed alongside each other, they all brought things that I still recall fondly to this day, great memories
Bruce's timecwas once in a lifetime & most likely will never be repeated but would he have achieved so much if he'd got the job instead of Willie
NW & MA both performed miracles in a short period & small squads

1. Robbo/McClaren - the successful ones
2. Warnock/Venebles - the talented ones
3. Mowbray/Southgate - the good eggs
4. Karanka/Pulis - the pragmatists
5. Woodgate/Agnew - the out of their depths
6. Monk/Strachan - the total chancers

You can see every single player loves playing for NW. Even when he’s calling them out publicly, like with Britt this week, they and we all know why he’s doing it. I have a friend who is a Sheff Utd fan, and all he ever says to me is that Warnock is a legend. I think he might be right.

My elderly Mum says it will be like the 1950`s after the War, when everybody was out dancing, singing, buying bikes and records - football attendencies breaking all records - crowds at Speedway and Horse Racing - people getting out......

It will be VR Day - Victory at the Riverside Day!

I totally agree with that 100%, I've said the very same to my family

There'll be such a massive buzz, it'll be unreal, though we have a long way to get there yet
