Warnock interview tonight.

He is hurting like us tonight and realises how important the result was in the playoff race. How can you explain that first half against a team who hadn’t scored for 5 games? Even more annoying when you see the other results tonight. Ah well, just swear tonight and hopefully the defence gets back to normal.

He genuinely looked gutted and shocked. I doubt he saw that first half coming. They had 7 straight defeats and not scored in 5..... Stunning😒

I guess all you can do is move on. You simply don't know which Boro will turn up. 6 home defeats out of 7 is simply going to derail the season. We have lost to some pretty woeful sides.

I am sightly worried that the Cardiff match could be exactly the same. Then again 'typical Boro' we will probably win.

Worse than the result for me, was the fact it was so completely predictable. I knew, just knew we would lose. As soon as I found out they’d lost 7 on the spin and hadn’t scored in 5 I knew we’d give them a helping hand. It’s the Boro way.
But then I thought ‘no, this time it’ll be different. We are starting our run to play off success! Keep the faith!’ ....What an idiot 😔
It’s the hope that kills you!

Exactly. None of us should be surprised. A team on an awful away run playing at the Riverside with a new coach? It was inevitable.

The fans should forget about the playoffs and accept that an 8th place finish will be good with the current squad. Hopefully Warnock can stay and have a proper crack at it next season.

Said 8 or 9th would be ok, playoffs a possibility with the right run. at the season start... We all say paddy and fry are the best in the league but to suffer the defeats we have since the new year makes you wonder .... more analysis on the keeper needed .

Could see it coming - even messaged a mate 7 minutes in saying "wouldn't be surprised if we get beat 3-1!".

After the first 2 goals went in, I switched off. He text me back at the end saying "Hope you put a tenner on 3-1".

Gutted. Could have put 3 good points on the board there. 3 soft goals to concede as well, defence were all over the place.

I have not seen them play recently but it looks like they were all up for it and playing for their places. Kalas, obviously, would have a great game against us.

Whilst current form would indicate the opposite, I was actually pretty impressed with Bristol and think Pearson will have few problems getting them up the league.

Very lively without the ball, closed us well the whole game and moved it quickly when they had it. They really closed down the centre of the pitch and it reaped rewards - always seemed to be closer to our players when we had the ball than vice versa (if that makes sense?)

One thing that was really obvious last night is just how ill equipped our players are technically. Bristol played a fair bit of one touch, moving well off the ball and controlling instantaneously. In contrast, a few of our players need around 8 touches to control the ball or turn with it.
