Warnock best appointment

I’m shocked in a good way....he’s a proper proper manager

no more to say.....bit like Roy Hodgson....so much experience on tactics and team set up and a great Man manager

wonderful for us....

Yeah, got hold my hands up in the past when anyone has mentioned him as a potential Boro manager I have thought that they surely can't be serious

However I am now a convert. He has had 8 games last season and now 8 games this and the transformation is remarkable. We really look like a team not just a collection of individuals and I've not thought that for years. We still struggle to score enough goals but we are really solid and do play some good football at times. This has been achieved whilst losing far more players than he's been able to bring in. It will be tough to keep it going for the whole season with such a small squad though but here's hoping.

Oh and another thing, his press conferences are really good to listen to. You can't help but warm to him. UTB

Been an absolute dream hasn't he. Which really makes you question wht the f we were thinking giving woody the job. Let's hope Sir Steve now sees the difference in getting someone in that knows what the f they are doing

Brilliant appointment and genuinely a good coach who can set up a team well.

Our turn around is entirely down to him and his staff. I just didn't buy that we had an awful squad last season it was entirely down the the manager. I think many people formed an opinion of Bola from our Sheff Wed home game last season. The lad was totally hung out to dry by Woodgate's lack of tactical nous in that game, no support going forward or defensively.
When watching on the stream I usually do my nut if the camera goes to the manager/staff but I'm fascinated by the discussions with Blackwell and Jepson. One game Warnock was talking and pointing to something on the pitch as Blackwell came to his side, Blackwell just screwed his face up and shook his head as if disagreeing and walked off, I'd love to know what was said. Maybe they could introduce 'Warnock Watch' on a red button thingy.

That we are doing well with him doesn't surprise me: he's been the go to man for results in this division for years.
I have been pleasantly surprised by the attractiveness of football around the opponent's penalty area at times. There have been passages in the last 2 matches when I've found myself thinking "that's really nice play".

It's direct at times too of course. However, the last 3 matches have exposed this playing out from the back fad as the Emperor's New Clothes: Brizzle conceded trying to do it , and Forest and Cov were lucky not to. It probably works for teams who already have better players than their opponents, but doing it will not make you better than your opponents.
