Warnock - ‘good old Boris’

In my opinion you are reading far more into a throw away line than is necessary BoroMart.
He's paid for by the club to be a professional, not use it to air his own political crap and alienate sizeable portion of fans. I don't sit in Programme meetings at work pontificating at how great our illustrious murderous PM is, because it would be unprofessional to do so.

Right, so it is ok by you for some countries to treat people who were already living in their country and made their homes and livelihoods there, abiding by laws, paying taxes, different to say other locals who may also be from another country?

I have a friend who is from Poland originally, he is a self employed tradesman and has no truck with brexit and feels welcome here, his assures me his families life has not been made more difficult by the UK government since brexit, he just complies with UK law and seemingly loves his life here on the coast still.

If it was functioning as well for all as you imply, not all 52% (approx) would not have voted as they did, just a thought. The truth is politics is an ever changing environment. Brexit will see both positive achievements and some negative results as would remaining in some peoples eyes. I can still live and work abroad if i wanted to, I can holiday in Spain, France, Germany, Poland still. We can trade with the EU. They should concentrate on delivering for the lives of their tax payers rather than looking at ways to punish the nasty UK. They took their eye of the ball with the vaccines like we did on PPE. This is not like Animal Farm (EU legs good UK legs bad). We should all move on with life instead of getting stuck in ruts of disagreement, life is too short as it is.

I'm not getting into why 52% wanted out, nor whether a leave vote directly correlated with an end to FOM.

What you and all the other anti-FOM lot keep conveniently forgetting is that living and working abroad has become much harder. It's also much more difficult for younger people without qualifications or support from the bank of mum and dad to live and work abroad, learn new languages and make friends with people from elsewhere.

Bully for your Polish mate, but his experience hasn't been universal as I'm sure you know.

No issue with him having an opinion. What I do have an issue with is him using club channels to flaunt it in public. I think he’s lost a lot of credit with the fans over the last month. He’s not going to get the welcome he thinks he is next season.
You underestimate the amount of Tory/Brexit supporters we have. Just look at the constituencies around Teesside. There will be probably a 50/50 split between people who dislike his views and people who love them. I’m not one of them by any means, but can recognise that my views, and this board’s views, are not representative of the Riverside faithful as a whole.

Quite right but we’ve all been to the Riverside. It doesn’t take many voices to make themselves heard and sour an atmosphere.

The club don’t seem bothered by it and its still on the post match press conference. Really nothing to see here.

who are you to decide what is important to other people. You are welcome to your view, but many people think football managers shouldn't be using a press conference to big up a political figure....particularly a corrupt murderous one

it's ok, he can tell if a player can't defend just by watching him for 5 mins on YouTube, we'll be fine.

(just a shame he couldn't tell that Akpom couldn't play as centre forward from similar evidence).
he does come across as an anti-science person at times, a gut feel vs data, and also someone that likes to contrary to prove something. He will say the opposite to what evidence tells us just to prove how smart he is. Those two defenders being an example, he said they can't defend even though they had the best stats. Would love to know who they are and if there was anything other than bluster to his statement.

I said at the time it was basically spin. I think what he meant was "I don't think they defend the way I want my defenders to play". I suspect he'd turn his nose up at quite a few international defenders, because they try to play a bit etc.

He has his methods and his record is outstanding at this level. I do think he has good instincts and a way about him that connects to most players. I think that's what you get with him.

I don't think he's particularly clever or inventive etc. but sometimes to be successful as a manager you don't have to be. It can be quite a simple game and I think he's a master at that approach. When it works he simplifies the game for players and makes them all feel like they're Pele.

Fingers crossed it works for us.
