Warnock - ‘good old Boris’

He's gone down in my estimation today, shown that he knows so little outside of football. FFS he doesn't even know the mans name
Today? I’m surprised that you weren’t aware of his political views from previous utterances. Also in a football press conference.

No issue with him having an opinion. What I do have an issue with is him using club channels to flaunt it in public. I think he’s lost a lot of credit with the fans over the last month. He’s not going to get the welcome he thinks he is next season.

I think he'll be welcomed with open arms. There are obviously an awful lot of tories and brexiters in our midst.

Good old Warnock. Reflecting the views of the majority in the area and the country. 🇬🇧
I doubt there's many who could look in the mirror and say they'd prefer to be in any other European country atm.

Miles away from the truth. I'd prefer to be in many European countries than here. Germany, France, Norway and the Netherlands all appeal, and Ireland is looking very tempting...

agreed, baring that I wouldn't mind sodding off to New Zealand. Looks beautiful, progressive, better educated than here, good quality of life, less right wing nutjobs

That's your view. What I'm saying is that NW is reflecting the popular view.

I think it is a little tongue in cheek to be fair. Yes he is probably a Tory Breixiteer, the vaccination process was a huge success. It was a gamble that is paying off and allowing you all to get back into pubs, clubs, shops and the Riverside Stadium soon enough, so I for one am grateful for that. To use that against Warnock or the government is unfair and is unnecessary. It is what Warnock produces for our club that is key not his comment on Boris Johnson.

Johnson will hopefully be held account for his rank bad failures, of which there are far more than his successes thus far. The huge death figures were clearly unnecessary and Johnson and his cohort of political allies need to be held accountable, but Warnock was talking about the vaccination programme that will see us all back in grounds in August hopefully, there is a valid football connection. Fans will be key to our progress on the pitch and off it, so he has every right to say so. People need to understand that politicians of all sides have some positives and negatives that work both for and against us all, that will never change.

MFC is owned and run by a man who has supported both Labour and Conservatives over his ownership. Why does Warnock get grief for his throw away line and Gibson and his tory support not? People need to have the self awareness to deal with the fact others have different views. If people want a fairer society and greater equality then they should lead by example, tolerate others rights to their view without getting uptight about differences. Bully boy disrespecting of others is no way to win a debate. Nobody is right all the time, people get too black and white about politics, I am guilty of it at times too, we all are, nobody's vote is more valuable than anyone elses. We live in an eclectic democracy, we have some basic norms, values and freedoms, with that goes the rights and freedoms of others to be different, provided they fall within the rules of an acceptable society, we should all try to be more respectful.

I was contradicting your point of 'not many' people who'd prefer to live abroad. I personally know hundreds of people just from my own circle who currently wish for just that.
I think it's fairly understandable after not having a holiday for a while. But in the cold light of scrutiny would one prefer the UKs progress over more lockdowns and curfews in e.g. France or Germany ?
