Warning car travel to Norwich

Just come up from Norfolk to Yorkshire and A1 is closed between just past Blyth Services to about 3 miles north of Newark, just before A17 turning. Worse still no diversion signage, literally just barriers off and 'road closed flooding' signs.

Don't know what it will be like tomorrow, but traffic jams and back roads added nearly 2 hours to our journey.

You have been warned.

Do you come through Coddington just after the A17 turn, cuts a little bit out and beats the queue at the A17 heading South.

There's a decent alternative way that gets you to the M180 that we travelled on last week. Set your sat navigation to Humberside airport and then follow the signs to the M180 when you get there.
