War Veteran 99 raises £4m for NHS

I contributed to his just giving page yesterday afternoon, and when I did so I’m sure he was at 1.7 million ish. Now 4 million a little over 12 hrs later. That’s phenomenal! As a nation, our charitable donations are pretty special sometimes.

I think it has increased about 3m in the last 24hrs!!! I hope it will double in the next 24!!

It was 4.75m when I donated about 9am today. It's now nearly 8.2!!!

it really is an incredible effort and achievement, both for Captain Moore and the groundswell of support
 
The word hero is much overused and often attributed to the wrong people, Captain Tom Moore is a true hero and an example to us all, deserves a knighthood and so much more for his inspirational actions, through him others will live and there can be no greater gift than that.

I love the British spirit giving money to a worthy cause. All I hope is that it is policed properly and the money goes to where it should and not some wide boy taking his cut to manage its distribution. It's sad that we have to feel that way but there is always one who will see an angle for a quick money make.
