We have been approached by Walkabout in Glasgow, close to the train station. They will welcome Boro fans if interested. It is over 18s only. However, any families with under 18's may be able to attend The Merchant, just up the road.
If they get the idea lots of Boro fans might be interested they will make sure there is extra staff.

I watched the England v Croatia World Cup Semi Final in there.

When we went 1-0 up it seemed like everyone in there bar was English. The place was bouncing.

When Croatia equalised I realised I was in fact in the minority, and tons of Scots has turned out just to cheer on Croatia. Sad b***ds.

I left sharpish after that as I could tell the atmosphere was getting nasty.

I laughed when someone said we would sell 8k for a friendly in Scotland.
Look like a sell out in one day
Astonishing
UTB

Someone told me fibs about the 7k figure as they have released another 600 tickets.
I reckon more like 5k so far
Club did announce 4k at 3pm though, so still have the Edwards factor

I wouldn't be going anywhere near a Walkabout. I'll watch the Lions in the Maltman with a nice bit of grub. Should be reasonably quiet

Can Walkabout serve 2,000 Boro fans? its will involve alot of walking!

Truly unbelievable Boro support btw

I have said that a lot in recent years on here, but to me if we have 6,000 for a friendly in Scotland after a poor season and a dodgy looking managerial appointment it almost brings a tear to my eyes.

Maybe Boro fans should manage the team.

Is there a local semi pro team with a bar nearby who could accommodate a large group of fans the way Chorley do? It would be better to support them than a big chain that abandoned our town centre.
