Charlton had dropped like a stone to the point we beat em & went above them, Hull to were in an awful mess & dropping fastMy concern is that restarting the season will appear like a 2nd chance to those teams at risk of relegation by the average points method. This may give them a psychological boost which could make all the difference.
I'm of the opinion when football should restart they should complete this season & if we are one of the teams relegated so be it then we deserve to, hopefully we don't, but that's how I see itLogically it would make absolutely no sense to vote for a restart in our position.

I can see where you're coming from & would agree to a point, I just think whoever goes down will vent their fury at empty stadiums, lack of atmosphere & not wanting to play in the 1st placeNo. I think if we resist it it’ll be seen purely as an attempt to avoid relegation
You're right of course. The flip side is teams that survive and teams that get promoted will be the opposite. Happy the season is completed. Which is why the team's can't really decide on a restart because they'll decide for selfish reasons.I can see where you're coming from & would agree to a point, I just think whoever goes down will vent their fury at empty stadiums, lack of atmosphere & not wanting to play in the 1st place
If it goes ahead, I agree 100% with your commentsAll this self interest from teams (in all divisions) in danger of relegation giving it the "not fair" angle is really starting to pi55 me off - and thank goodness we're not one of them.
Tens of thousands have people have died in a (hopefully) once in a generation (or two generations) catastrophe in this country, and all a group of self-centred egotists are bothered about is protecting their "investment". The empty stadiums / lack of atmosphere angle will be the same for everybody, and if you're in danger of relegation with 9 games to go, its because you were 5hite in the 75% of the season that was completed, not because you have to play a couple of games behind closed doors.
It's an exceptional circumstance - just get on with it
The possibilty of declaring the season null and void has been taken off the table. Final standing and even playoffs have to be decided in one way or another. However, actual promotion relies on the Premier League having relegation.End the season now and declare it null and void. If anybody dies becuase they were infected due to restarting it will be seen as a decision driven purely by finances

Agree mate, tough decision, hard call, glad I'm not the one who decides which way this goesI agree with both points. My view was to scrap the 2020/21 season and finish this season when fans were allowed back into stadiums say from early 2021. This allows for a safer and fairer (health wise) conclusion. It enables teams time to sort out their squads comings and goings. I appreciate though that the money men of football wont do that and players out of contract would be financially hit. So as this is a non starter, Indeedido’s comments make perfect sense to the majority of teams. The problem with that as I see it is the sky money, where I suspect they will claim a breach of contract and hold significants amounts back and perhaps use it as an excuse to renegotiate the last contract.
Money is the reason we are risking lives and playing out the season in bizarre fashion with no crowds. Football and the government are using each other for different reasons, clubs to get the ££££ off sky etc and the government to pretend things are looking brighter and rosier in the short term. Football without fans is how I imagine relationships are for those sad sack fellas that own sex dolls. They may get the same outcome, but i imagine it is devoid of feeling, excitement and sensation.
