Visiting Leeds advice

This crops up a bit so thought I’d share the report.

Really enjoyed the city last time I was there - the only thing I would add to the list below is Bundobust Restaurant

Good to see Headrow House get a mention. They have this amber nectar called tank beer, which is basically Pilsner Urquell served from massive copper tanks. It's like lager tasted when it was good.

Also, add The Brudenell Social Club. Amazing that they missed it off.

Brownhill & co and whitelocks are great for a beer

Best advice is not to bother as you will be sure to bump into a Marcher.

Joking aside I love Leeds for a trip out on the beer.

I lived in Leeds back in the early 2000's and even got married there (both the hotels mentioned in the article were part of our weekend of celebrations), and apart from the hotels I dont think I recognise a single bar or restaurant mentioned there. Even Kirkgate Market wasn't a destination when we lived a short hop away from it on Crown Point Bridge.

Well overdue a visit I think.

The Art Gallery, but particularly the Craft Gallery in the basement was usually my first port of call.

my girlfriend is from leeds and we split our time between the boro and Leeds and have to say i am partial to a night out down there! the fact Brudenell hasnt been mentioned is shocking! great venue to see upcoming artists releasing there first albums to seeing returning acts such as marcus mumford and the enemy!
