Really hope Roglic hangs on today. He’s had a great season and handled his disappointment in the TDF with real class.

Got to say with this Tour being so late the great thing is the autumnal colours which are spectacular
 
Great finish. Roglic won it in the end on his bonus seconds. But deserved it for his aggression throughout the stages. After what happened to him on Stage 20 of the TdF I’m pleased for him.
 
Roglic looked so relieved as he crested the climb there. Pleased for him, disappointed for Carapaz after a monumental effort and elated for Carthy.

He got some late fillip from Movistar ironically just as he was flagging. Pleased for him though and yes a great performance from Hugh getting on the podium.
 
Nice to see that today Chris Froome was awarded the Vuelta win.

For 2011 in which he originally finished runner up to JJ Cobo. Cobo was stripped of his title.
in so doing Froome actually beat Sir Brad to become Britain’s first ever GT winner.
 
That will be a trick question in years to come. :)

PS Good to see GB got silver and bronze in the under-23 european cyclo-cross championships today with Thomas Mein and Cameron Mason.
 
So a final season wrap up then. Cardiffdaffs wins the Vuelta pretty much retaining his lead throughout. Hairingtons takes a second and Simon Brown makes up the podium.

It was a toss up for me between Roglic and Dumoulin, I picked wrong, lucky for you lot otherwise I’d have romped it 😂
