Velogames Tour de France 2021 🇫🇷 🇫🇷🚴🏻 - (May Contain Spoilers )

I doubt you'll see a breakaway win on the final day so it is all set for Cav to break the record tomorrow. One thing is for sure, you'll have the whole of the DQT team working to that one goal.

Has Cav got enough in the tank for Paris or have the mountains taken their toll?

I hope he can crack it, may be his last chance.
Yesterdays stage was made tough by the classics men who saw it as a last opportunity for a stage. Sunday will be a sprint so hopefully he will have the power in the legs for that massive showdown on the Champs D’Elysees.

Well, you have the lead mate. It's going to be a mighty close run thing tomorrow. Massive points haul from your TT men today ... scuppered only by the Jumbo pair.

Yes my TT men came to the fore today but I will concede defeat to you. The key rider that’s going to win it for you is Ben OConnor whose 4th place more than trumps my Rigoberto Uran who disappointingly dropped away in the last week.

Big day for British cycling fans tomorrow. Can he do it?
Note of caution. The last man to succeed in a breakaway on the final stage on the Champs Elysees was that man Vinikourov in 2005.

Thanks Abel. My defence of the title was done early doors with Roglic and Haig crashing out. Disappointed that Cav couldn't break the record but WvA was something else on this Tour. Won the Mont Ventoux stage and then goes and wins the ITT and then the sprint stage on the Champs Elysees. incredible all rounder.

Thanks for Organising AT.

Best possible team: 13,263 points (Pogacar, Vinegaard, Van Aert, Carapaz, Cavendish, Cattaneo, Gaudu, Mohoric, Bonnamour)

What I found interesting was the worst set of riders for the 100 cost:
681 points (Thomas, Yates, Hirschi, Geoghegan-Hart, Ewan, Angel Lopez, Gogl, De La Parte)

Thanks as always Abel. Part of the challenge is definitely managing to avoid the crashes which is a bit of a lottery in the modern peloton. Note to self, stay away from Thomas as he seems capable of finding ever more unique ways of hitting the deck.
I also think that it's going to get ever harder to spend points wisely with the advent of so many all-rounders like Wout Van Aert.

Cheers AT.

Re WvA he is what you call a special one off. Never have I seen a cyclist who is one of the best sprinters also capable of winning a summit finish.

Oh I don't know, if MvdP put his mind to it I reckon he's got similar ability. Would love to see Van Aert go for the GC next year.
