Variant of concern in South Africa

Ah you're thinking of different things Randy. The flu job does drain your energy for a day or too. Chris thinks it put him in hospital after he got ill with something else. Entirely different

Well no I didn't say that did I... I said I ended up but I did not say it was the jab... Are you putting words into people's mouths? 🤔

As I said... When I get the jab I end up ill all winter and when I don't then I'm perfectly fine.

That is all.

Expect it’s a complete coincidence, a flu jab wouldn’t make you more susceptible to other illnesses

So you get the jab, you got ill with something else and you ended up I hospital. You think the flu jab you had made you ill, but you don't think the illness you had put you in hospital? So why did you mention hospital 8f its unconnected

You are hard work...

I got the jab... I got flu... I ended up in hospital.

But Im actually saying if I get the jab I seem to catch every bug and if I don't get the jab I don't get the bugs.

I'm not sure how else I can say it really.

And how do you know it didn't unless you are one of Chris's relatives or close friends.

I don't see why he has to explain anything to anybody on here about his experience.

Well you've said it 3 different ways now.

So it was flu that the flu jab gave you? Up until this post you've said it was some other illness you got.

You seem to be changing your story a lot in order to defend your anti vax stance.

I'm explaining that what your relatives have had is a known side effect of the flu jab. Feeling a bit run down the next day and sniffling.

Being so ill you have to go to hospital is NOT

So the last paragraph of this is made up then?

Rare but has happened.

Who should not get the influenza vaccine?
Speak with a health care provider if you:

Have had a life-threatening reaction to a previous dose of influenza vaccine, or any part of the vaccine. People with egg allergies can be safely immunized with the influenza vaccine
Have had severe oculo-respiratory syndrome (red eyes and a cough and/or sore throat and/or hoarseness) after getting an influenza vaccine
Are receiving a checkpoint inhibitor to treat cancer. This may affect when you should get the vaccine
Developed Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) within 8 weeks of getting an influenza vaccine without another cause being identified
GBS is a rare condition that can result in weakness and paralysis of the body's muscles. It most commonly occurs after infections. In rare cases GBS can also occur after some vaccines. GBS may be associated with influenza vaccine in about 1 per million recipients.

Anti vax 😂

I've had 3 covid jabs... I've previously had flu jabs.

You sir. Are a prized cnut. You will never change from trying to force your own agenda on others.

I'm not doing that at all I don't even know what agenda you think I have. I'm just trying to explain to you that you either had illness after a vaccine and you mistakenly thought one caused the other. Or it DID cause the other in which case you need to get that checked out because it's not normal.

I did find it odd that you at first said it made you ill. Then you said it hospitalised you. Then you said it didn't hospitalise you. Then you said it did and it was flu. Not sure why your story changed so much

I'll explain it for a third time as you haven't got it yet. My response to you was thay you provided anecdotal evidence of people being run down from the flu jab. I said thay was normal. I also said that wasn't in any way related to the conversation Chris and I were having as you were discussing an entirely different side effect. I hope this is clear now because I'm not sure how I can explain it a fourth way

Reminds me of when my dad thought that his Apple Watch gave him AFib as he didn’t have AFib before he used the watch. When it reality it was just the watch telling him he was already in AFib 😂

Thankfully he’s let go of it now and wears his Apple Watch again, took him a few years though.

50,000 cases today. The new variant might well be here now causing the recent increase in cases. How log does it take to sequence it? A week? A few days?

There is a difference between stops transmission, and completely stops transmission

edit: didn't realise that image was so big :ROFLMAO:
Thanks i haven’t looked into the impact too much

Ok then.

And I'm telling you that what Chris has said he experienced is very possible. It is you who said it wasn't.

I did not change my story...

I was in hospital during a winter I had the jab

I have had flu having had the jab.

I have been regularly ill thoughtout the winter when I have had the jab.

When I have not had the jab I have not experienced any of those things.

Your agenda is about trying to make out that I am anti vax.

But it didn't work. Nice try though.

I don't have an agenda. You're wrong about that as well. Just pointing out that if you're badly ill everytime you have the flu jab (twice by your own admittance) you have been ill. Its either a coincidence or you could have a problem you need checking out because you might have an intolerance you don't know about.

I suspect, given you claim only to have had it twice, it's just a coincidence but if it isn't I'd get it checked out

No I said its possible just not probable and could count to something being wrong there is it's unusual.

The only issue I had was you used an "example" to back it up that isn't the same thing as what Chris was experiencing. Hopefully that's the final time I have to explain that

Erm.. I've had it far more than two times... You really are hard work.

Everytime I've had it I have had a winter of I'll health.

Everytime I haven't I've been fine.

Hopefully that will now settle in your brain and remove your anti vax thoughts.
