Van McCoy's 'The Hustle'

The Shuffle is the first piece of music I can recall hearing; I suppose I'd heard others before, but I think it was the sports theme on radio 2 (possibly 4), which my Dad always had on when I was a toddler, and it's always stuck in my head.

How I felt about The Shuffle depended pretty much on the result of the match itself. It was either a depressing dirge or a jaunty whistle along tune. The tune which still gives me goosebumps even just thinking about it is the tune used when the team ran out.

The Power Game...

I recall a thread some time ago about the song Bernard Gent used to play as we left the ground. It was a kind of sad sounding instrumental and it wasn’t the shuffle.

Leaving the ground music.... guess it will be one of lifes mysteries, bernard cant remember, tried loads of times on here to locate it , even a fan whistled it on you tube... still no definitive answer, nearest I think is the Shuffle.... could do with a TV recording of them leaving the pitch in the early to mid 70s to hear it... over to you Erimus?
