It’s the League Cup. Have we sold out a League Cup tie this century? We weren’t full for the Arsenal semi in ‘04 that’s for sure and that wasn’t Christmas week. Think we might possibly have done in ‘97.
Quick look on Wiki, so could be wrong, but I think this is the furthest port Vale have ever got in the League Cup. They have only previously been to the 4th round once.
They have played in one FA cup semi-final in the 50s.
Given they might think they have half a chance at beating us, I am surprised they haven't sold out to be honest. Although their stadium as far bigger than their average attendance. 19k capacity and an average attendance of 7.5k. So they could double their attendance and still have plenty of space.

Currently 1170 available when I first went in at 3pm, with a few greyed out, whether that be away season tickets and corporates, so obviously a few unopened blocks.

I thought Huddersfield, Bolton and Exeter all sold out this season for Boro fans.
At the Riverisde there has not been many sell outs - Liverpool in 1998 (great win) Stockport in 1997, Newcastle in 1996/7 - of we got over 31,600 in 2015 against Everton that was very close to a sell out.
I think we will sell the away end at Vale.
