Vaccine booked

Hopefully up to 100k a day soon.
I thought we had nearly 200k in the first week? I know it's early days and that total will rise, but even 200k per week will take over 2 years to vaccinate the 25 million they're after vaccinating.

Oh just re-read it. 100k a day get's it down to around 35 weeks. Still 8 months but hopefully things will begin to be relaxed after around 4 months or so having jabbed up a large amount of the population. Or is that wishful thinking?

133k across the UK in the first week.

My 92 year old aunt had hers on Tuesday at North Tees,it was a drive thru, she never left the car but had wait around for 15 minutes after the jab to make sure there wasn't any reaction.

Friday afternoon. I can’t wait to wave my appointment card in everyone’s face a la Wayne and Garth with their backstage passes 😆😆
Don't forget to give us all feedback, did you feel a bit poorly for a couple of days, did your arm hurt and most importantly was it really cold going into your bloodstream

Lots of capacity tho

Where do you get the vaccination data btw
Jenner was on yesterday saying it's not available yet - waiting for it to be verified
It was announced a few hours later by our vaccine tsar. I think it was 110000 in England.

Interesting that the multidose phials could allow two more vaccinations (7 instead of 5).

That would be a massive unexpected boost, if they don’t start correcting the levels per vial ! Potentially 10s, even 100s of thousands more doses than we thought we’d bought!

Does anybody think the vaccines will eventually be rolled out privately, for public purchase, under the guise of increasing the capacity (of sites and staff to administer the vaccine) and getting to vaccine herd immunity sooner?
Ethically it’s very questionable.
If you had the option to pay for the jab in a couple of months time, would you do it?

Yes. I think I would. Despite my concerns about the speed of approval, in a few months we'll know more about the side effects and I think whatever it takes to get the vaccine, providing its safe, circulating should be done. If that includes private sales as well as state ones then so be it. Dependant on price of course and if its proven to be effective and safe.
