Utter Bull

Norwich-based Bullards was told there was a "likelihood of confusion on behalf of the public" as both brand names "include the term bull".
Red Bull is opposing an application to register the mark Bullards before the UK Intellectual Property Office.
Bullards, originally founded in 1837, said the claim was "ludicrous".
A company nearly two centuries old being threatened by one not even 35 years old because they feel the public will confuse 'Bullards' with 'Red Bull'?
Yes, that seems likely.
What's next, Nestle suing Kitekat because they think someone wanting a chocolate wafer may be confused and buy a can of chicken in gravy instead? FFS

I was in the Roral Courts of Justice on a business case and next door the case was about WWF. The World Wildlife Fund were suing the World Wrestling Federation over using WWF.
WTF! Why couldn't they both just use it! £100sK spent on bullshyte. The Worls Wildlife won btw.
 
I remember Mcdonalds doing the same to Mcdowells in the 80s IIRC Eddie Murphy got involved at one point.
