Unofficial transfer deadline day

I think this has been going on for ages. Remember Artur and Pjanic swapping clubs a few years back, I think both clubs were called to answer charges over that deal. Villa and Chelsea are essentially helping each other get out of PSR strife, as they say on the Price of Football podcast if it looks dodgy then it probably is… but it’s very, very hard to prove. Though I’ve read that the authorities are already looking into what Villa and Chelsea are up to.

If a lot of the charges against Man City stem from over inflated sponsorship deals and over inflating certain commercial activities, this seems much worse to me as it is pre-meditated / organised coercion / collusion between two or more clubs to deliberately circumvent the spirit/realities of PSR.

Sure I saw something on this the other day. Basically a group of clubs are selling and buying between themselves and effectively kicking the inflated prices around themselves until they become writedowns or something like that.

Everton, villa, Chelsea and a few others in Europe were named

What they are doing simplistically is getting funds in (inflated to hit positively hit their ffp numbers) and reciprocating with an inflated purchase, but the purchase can be spread out over the contract, say 4years.
Short term cover up utilising a kind of loop hole

Eg
Sell academy player for £20m. 100% credits their books today
Buy academy player for £20m on 5 year contract. £4m hits their books today.
Re ffp £16m credit.

Premier league now an accounting competition
