There's a worrying amount of right wing propaganda out there that people seem to be lapping up, I expect see more of this kind of chap from people who have been conned into thinking Nigel Farage is some kind of messiah
Ex Forces, Army mainly, seem to have a problem with decent working people making a better life for themselves.Isn't it strange how people get all excited about unions standing up for their working class members? I'm a proud member of a union and believe strongly in 'strength in unity'.
Unlike the self serving individuals who can't see past the end of their own noses.
Well said, totally agreeIsn't it strange how people get all excited about unions standing up for their working class members? I'm a proud member of a union and believe strongly in 'strength in unity'.

A bit of a generalisation there SCG. I'm well aware of the indoctrination of young working class kids that exists in the Armed Forces, my Brother in Law and plenty of my work colleagues have told me of some of them, But, I also know that in the 1980's and 90's, one of the three main criteria to successfully apply for the Fire Service ,was that you had to have served in the Armed Forces. I have worked with probably hundreds of ex Forces people who recognised that being a member of a Union was the best way to make a better life for themselves within the Fire Service.Ex Forces, Army mainly, seem to have a problem with decent working people making a better life for themselves.
Look on Social media and the digs at the Unionised, the low paid, the migrant workers and disabled and the badge/crest on their profiles.
Certainly not this ex serviceman/MOD contractor.Ex Forces, Army mainly, seem to have a problem with decent working people making a better life for themselves.

They’ve had 14 years of wage stagnation they earn less today in real terms so why is that ‘greedy’?They are threatening a return to strike action because and in their own words, the proposed 2.8% rise was "barely above the cost of living",
Striking over increases which are ABOVE the cost of living, how is this even acceptable?
Once again the power hungry unions are struggling to remain relevant so creating a toxic environment which suits nobody.
Government legislation is required to sort this racket out.Unfortunately too many people in the UK know the answer to your question. Millions of workers are in insecure work with minimal rights, uncertain income and no representation. Hopefully we'll see the back of zero hours contracts but there are hundreds of thousands 'falsely self-employed' in the gig economy who have been stripped of any employment rights whatsoever and struggle to make the minimum wage for the hours they put in. No business should be allowed to operate such an employment model exclusively.
Whilst I'm happy to see unions securing pay rises for their members when you get your next takeaway or parcel delivered just remember who the truly exploited workforce are.
