UNICEF to help feed hungry kids in the UK

What a sorry state of affairs for this to be needed in this country.
Heartless politicians, thats all of them bye the way, should hang their heads in shame.

Given all the hullabaloo about sovereignty I can’t help thinking we should tell UNICEF to - just do one.

We are perfectly capable of letting our kids starve thanks

What an absolute shameful situation. Where is the comment from the government on this bit of news.
We are one of the wealthiest countries in the world. It should never be needed.

I posted a while ago Finny that Infosys, the company I work for has charitable arm called Infosys Foundation and they also announced earlier this year they would be managing causes in the UK for the first time ever.

5th largest economy in the world, you wouldn't think so.

As shameful as this is, I'd urge everyone who can to do their bit in donating to our food banks to help out this Christmas. Be it by buying a few extras and dropping them off at the locations in store or using facilities like those at Morrisons where you can buy a food box online for your local Trussell food bank.
I know we have some people who also volunteer at food banks on here so I'm sure they could provide some useful info for anyone wanting to help out in any way.
I'm extremely grateful that my job hasn't been impacted by Covid-19, but the pandemic has definitely focussed my thoughts around what is important and how susceptible so many people are to being plunged into crisis through no fault of their own.
I live in hope that the world sees sense and realises that if we have shown the will to research, test and rollout a vaccine on a global scale that we can do the same for global issues such as food insecurity, homelessness and other such basic human needs that we all think are a given during normal times.
