Sonny Finch has had a fantastic start to his youth career. 16 year old, scored 5 in 8 for the U18s and now scoring for the U23s. Kid looks a real prospect he tortured Man Utd U18s the other week
 
I'm sorry to have missed that game. I had it as a provisional but I was struggling to walk in the morning and whilst that eased over the day I ran out of time to get there. I'll get a look at young Mr Finch in the not too distant future I hope
 
Not sure if already mentioned but Neil Taylor played at left back for boro last night.
Out of contract. last played for Villa. 32yrs old i think.
 
I watched the Burnley away game at Leyland. Joe wasn't our worst player but he wasn't our best either. On the basis of that one game I'd be surprised if he makes the first team this season. I've seen him play a lot better

If Spence is not recalled he does however have many of the characteristics of a decent wingback so you might be right. His initial appearances were at fullback for example

He was a RW originally, but he went to RB last season. This last game he played as a number 10. Agree attacking wingback could be a great role for him
 
I see Wells played for Pickering at the weekend but Balde was back with the u23s. It's a bit of an odd move that one, they are rock bottom of the NPL East, and it's one level below Wells's last club, Lowestoft.
