Uche eh eh?

Flint

you know something wrong when you’re buying a centre half based on his goal
Scoring record.

mind I suppose that summed up the regime at the time.

Another gem from "careful with the chairman's money" Tony Pulis.

Wonder if the penny has finally dropped for Gibson yet that the bloke is an absolute fraud? I'd be embarrassed to look back and think I trusted him to do a "top to bottom review of the club".

As for Uche. Best all round centre forward display since Bamford was here. In a strange way it's a good job he's not prolific because he'd be playing for a bigger club if he was.

Funny old game because I was more impressed with sporar, and think he’s the best striker we’ve had at the club since bamford

Totally agree with that.

His movement is unreal for the level we're currently at. If Payero and him can link up more this season, then I would definitely revise where I think we'll end up (9th or 10th as it stands).

The only thing I worried about with Uche on Saturday was a second yellow, the ref seemed to think that the physical battle that Flint and McGuiness were waging (and losing) involved Uche fouling. He's so strong he doesn't need to foul he was holding off the pair of them quite legally. He must have been bruised all over on Sunday morning. Hell of a shift he put in. Sporar is the one more likely to score the goals but I bet if you asked Flint and McGuiness who they had the hardest time with it would be Uche.

He is definitely the best striker since Bamford, no argument here. He's a far more intelligent player than Uche.

I just thought bar some decision making, Uche was immense. If he had that decision making/ruthlessness he'd be a premier league player. But he doesn't.

They looked a good partnership. Uche taking the defenders on physically and Sporar linking up with his fantastic technique and intelligence. Enjoyed watching them both.

Ye I can get on board with that

I've thought since Wilder was appointed that Uche could be one of the ones who leave. Can't fault his effort but I just don't see him fitting into the new system and regime.

Didn’t say he was. You don’t have to be the same player
I just thought you meant he could do a similar role but I don’t see that with Uche. As much as I don’t mind him. Would take the actual David McGoldrick though on an 18 month deal if it’s a possibility. Would be a brilliant signing, love watching him at this level.

I would have done a season ago, he's tipping towards the end of his career now

True but I would probably still take a punt for 18 months or so. Obviously if we have younger and better forwards in the pipeline then go for them. Balogun would be good
