If Uber came to Boro they would be everyones first choice I reckon.

That’s my thinking as well, people would pay for reliability and it can only be a good thing for customers to remove the monopoly.

Don't use the app if you're going to station or airport. Ring them and they will ask you the time of the train give you some flannel about not being responsible if you miss the train but the taxi will arrive on time.

Trouble is we very rarely have cash in the house so usually pay via the app

Its becoming a nightmare to get taxis in Redcar. Think Boro have just given uo on us.

Hard to out Uber, the Boro Uber, haven't they got like 600 cars? Must be one of the biggest independent taxi firms in the UK, including all the cities, and we're only a mid sized town.

Uber would need to find drivers that Boro taxi's can't. Anyone willing to drive an Uber is probably driving a Boro taxi.

I wouldn't like to use my own car in Boro mind, not going to some of the areas anyway.

But surely the indent I’ve got a self employed Uber driver is you would make more of a cut of the money than what Boro would skim off it?

Its becoming a nightmare to get taxis in Redcar. Think Boro have just given uo on us.

And most areas of Middlesbrough after 7.30 on a weekend. You can see on the app all the taxis are in the town centre and it takes ages to get one.
If only we had local taxi companies like we did before boro bought them all out.

A good 20/30 minute wait whenever I’ve booked one.
