U.S. Calls for Pause on Johnson & Johnson Vaccine

In a conversation with my daughter yesterday she pointed out it’s much more of a risk to take the pill.
Of the people who suffered blood clots, it seems women are more prone than men.

Assuming all data is in, which of course it isn't.
 
On the current returns, from an obviously very small base seeing this condition is only now becoming apparent, this seems to be pointing in that direction. All the data, of course will never be in.

health proffessionals don't know if the risk escalates over time, that is why they are being cautious you would think. The 6 cases are not the issue. The fact that 6,000 might follow if it takes time for the clots to develop.

Caution with a new medicine is a sensible approach. Some might not like it, but it's the right approach.

Health professionals pretty much do know. All the people who have had blood clots, got them within a couple of weeks at most, after getting the vacccine.

Which (assuming there is a link) makes sense, because the effects of a vaccine on the body's systems (production of antibodies, T cells and B cells) generally reaches their fullest extent around 14 days after administration.

From that point on, the effects (and along with them, the risks) from vaccines never increase over time, they only ever diminish. Antibody production levels drop off, T & B cells go into the background. That's why, for instance, many vaccines require periodic boosters. Even those that don't need boosters, still gradually diminish in their effects (both protective and otherwise).

There's no data that I can find (and believe me, I've looked) showing any vaccine that has had long term side effects.

As mentioned, vaccines work by giving an almost immediate boost to the immune system, peaking over the first couple of weeks (which is when any side effects, including any extremely rare ones, will occur).

No vaccine has ever been proven to sit dormant for an extended period of time, after which it somehow springs into action and starts having adverse effects on the body. It just doesn't comport with the way vaccines interact with the body.

The power that some global pharmaceutical corporations can wield maybe?

Can't put it down to anything else, the risk is low, but people will be asking 'why take the rIsk' when other options are available.

It's marketed under a different name in Europe.

Test and trace should be ran by local health authorities. Hancock has written off the NHS debt (well at least he said he has) so that should free up funds to run it properly. The private companies who've been in charge of the **** show should be forced to give the contract money back to the public purse.

There would've been zero spare human resources within the NHS to allocate to test & trace without other vital functions losing staff.
The army were doing the mobile testing sites anyway.

It doesn't need NHS proffessionals to do the testing, it needs NHS proffessionals to manage the service.
