Two more people beheaded in France

In a church this time, many more injured. How has Europe got to a point where beheadings are happening in the streets?

I will no doubt get a barrage of criticism for this, but I think we all know why, however, far too many are afraid to be honest, whatever your view. We have no choice but to accept this is one of the prices of a diverse society where people are asked to integrate. Unfortunately, in reality, a not insignificant minority wont. It is an uncomfortable truth that the British or European way of life is rejected by some despite the hand of friendship being extended and other cultures then build and increase alongside our traditional way of life. The freedom to do so unfortunately creates an imbalance of community trust, spirit and you end up with areas of towns and cities as we have, where mixing of cultures is resisted and fear and mistrust starts, hate builds in limited quarters, often the young. The blame lies as much with the indigenous white population for stoking fear and distrust.

Look at that young security guard at the Manchester bombings. When an alarm was raised, he was too scared to do anything for fear of being called out as a racist, meanwhile 22 innocents subsequently died and 59 were injured. I feel sorry for the lad in truth, as I can understand, as a young kid, him feeling that way. Now he has to carry the burden of inaction for life, despite the fact if he acted, it doesn’t mean things would have had a better outcome. I had been a part of the ‘Prevent’ strategy for a good long while and i can assure you, it only scratches the surface, it is flawed. We do not do enough to support minority communities in the integration process, we should ensure better understanding, integration, life chances for all sides of the coin, but equally be tough where it is rejected whatever your situation.

The security forces throughout Europe are working day and night to identify terrorists, but there are too many being watched to stop and these killings will go on. Some, albeit a small number, (we hope), wont rest until the flag of Islamic State is flying freely over London or Paris et al. All we can do is hope the events like in Nice are not increasing.

Spot on mate. We have appeased this mentality and allowed beheadings and terrorism to become normalised to an extent. It needs strong action and it must end

We do not do enough to support minority communities in the integration process,

Integration or conversion?

That's the crux of the problem.

Some people do not want to be 'integrated' - they are happy as they are and feel threatened otherwise.

I’m not sure conversion is the right way to go.

One of the great things about the west is religious freedom, the views of all religions are generally respected and that’s the way it should be. It would be a terrible step backwards if a state declared one religion as the only acceptable one and tried to convert all its citizens to that one belief.

I'm sure Jeremy Corbyn was advocating to just open the Borders and let them all come over here. What a disaster that would have been. The French need to grow a pair of balls close and close down these mosques and networks that spew out this garbage. Heavy handed tactics and deportation of anyone suspected of radicalism the only answer to this sort of thing unfortunately. These types of people take a mile if you give them an inch.

The day people are being beheaded on the streets of Europe is the day all of this has gone too far. That spineless tosser macron over the channel wont do anything about it tho

Well yes of course, but the point I am making is not so much religious conversion, but cultural conversion - the threat to a way of life, in which religion plays a large part.

Let's hope the response is a bit more measured than your nonsense.

I escaped Iran as their revolution kicked off and at the time, after what I saw, I was convinced that if there was a Muslim left alive on the planet there would never be peace.
