Twenty's Plenty

Gary Neville just said £20 maximum for away fans was part of Project Big Picture. I hadn't realised that.
I agree with Gary Neville in that we need to ensure better distribution of money and £250m to EFL under independent regulator.
Our Beautiful Game that Gary Neville is involved with is very similar to FSA call for a fairer deal for fans etc. It would be great if reform happened now.

It's overdue but while we have three organisations trying to "run" football (FA, PL, FL) then the power is diluted and the big teams rule the roost. First thing I'd do is call the bluff of the big teams threatening to form a European Super League. Go on, off you go. If/when you want to come back you will rejoin in tier five. Your call...

The TV money is not the sole purview of the teams featured, the money should go into a pot and shared (on a fair but sliding scale) throughout the pyramid. With some "appearance money" for the teams featured but only based on ticket revenue loss so if as a result of your game being moved to a Sunday for the telly you lose 5k attendees, the pot pays that shortfall.

You may say I'm a dreamer...

(or a dikchead)

i would suggest that the days of '20 is plenty' has been and gone.

post covid, should fans be back on the terraces - £12 - is more than enough for away fans.

fans are on the outside of the stadiums and they are desperate to get us back in, begging us - if fans dont reshape their part in the future of the 'football industry' at this time, they never will - the clubs are reshaping their part in it !!

'reform' wont happen unless you drive it and demand it (remember fans are shut out and they want us back in spending our dough) - these shark like 'business' are not going to hand anything over on a plate, because it may be nice or helpful - weve seen with the PPV that theyre out to have our eyes out.

furloughing has taken 30% off incomes, unemployment is an haemorrhage freefall, inflation is collecting pace and there is going to be a huge hike in food and utility prices, post 2021.

i cant imagine what some heating bills and water prices will be with all of this 20 secs hot water hand washing that people are doing.

Was the first thing I noticed about Project Big Picture, clearly to be used as a bargaining chip with the sceptical fans. It clearly didn't work as most didn't notice it or comment on it.

I'd not even call their bluff. I'd tell them we, the 86 other clubs and the conference, are forming a new league structure, that will not be shaped by artificial limits on competitiveness like sponsorship, TV money and how many tacky shirts you can flog to kids in South East Asia None of these things really have anything to do with football, but they've been treated as "part of the game" for so long, that most assume they do.

The big 6 are welcome to join us; we'd love to have them, and I'd think many of their UK fans would want this. However, they've got to agree to the same limits as the rest of the league.
Or they can play amongst themselves.
Or they can form their European league and no play domestic football.
The choice is theirs.

I'd also like it written in to the constitution that no more than 2 matches per division can be televised for each round of matches, and that traditional kick off times will otherwise be observed.

I would saying making it cheaper for home fans should come before away reductions. Away games is something you do with a bit more disposable income?
Making it affordable to the lowest incomes should be priority surely?

Good point Jam69 👍
