Turnaround in our attacking form

We're now the third top scorers, and I believe we will end up the second highest scorers this year. That's some turnaround for a team that for years has struggled to hit the net.

Under Carrick now we've scored 3 or more in FIVE games. We also got 4 against Wigan under Leo. To put that into perspective we had only scored 3 or more 5 times in the previous 85 games under Wilder and Warnock, We've done it in just 14 games under Carrick.

There's a culture change happening, and I love it.

I still love Karanka though. ;)

I love the fact under Carrick we have only failed to score once in 14 league games and that was pretty much an outlier because of the refs decision. Out FTS rate over previous 3 seasons has been up to 30pc at times but mainly between 20 and 30pc.

As well as all the goals I am loving the fact that we have come from behind several times which is something we never did on a regular basis. The confidence of knowing we can score goals is clearly showing right through the team - long may it continue!

This kind of football is also putting bums on seats, our crowds are creeping up and up towards the 30k mark and there is a feeling that something special is happening.

I mentioned at the match it looked full, meant to check the attendance.

It's amazing what you can create with a bit of off the ball movement. We've been fairly static for a while but Carrick has really brought in the pass and move philosophy. A player in possession now usually has a few different options, where previously there would sometimes be only one option. It's great to watch, and makes me excited as to what he could achieve with even better players, but let's not get ahead of ourselves!

can't knock what he achieved, I was confident of a cleansheet every game, different philosophy though and to be honest this is the kind of football that inflates your attacking players value, which is where the profits are
It was said tongue in cheek and feel that Karanka and Carrick's philosophies on football are miles apart. We had some great days under Karanka, and he will be fondly remembered by most, I think Carrick and the people he's got around him will take us to another level though.

Great days to be a Boro fan.

I'm still refusing to believe 2nd is on but Wembley is very much on.
I’ll go on record now that this season either ends in champagne on last day or under the arch a few weeks later.
