Trump to return in 2024?

If you genuinely think Biden is fit and proper to hold office you are more delusional than he is

And before anyone says otherwise I hate trump
Exactly.
Biden is a liability. I said it when was voted in.

The democrats were too wimpish to put Harris up instead of Biden knowing fine well that a country that is still as racist as it's always been and hates women would never vote her on over Trump.

America needs some younger blood to lead it through the next generation with a potential conflict with China on the horizon and it's diminishing powers as world leader.

I hate to say it but if it's Trump Vs Biden in the next election then Trump will win without breaking a sweat. Notice Trump has been taking thinly veiled swipes at De Sanctis recently, there is a very real possibility Republicans go with him instead of Trump, again a man who would beat Biden. The democrats have some difficult choices to make coming up quicker than they would like.

You have to wonder if the war in Ukraine would have started had Trump been in power? Had the war been averted we would probably wouldnā€™t have unmitigated inflation across the globe, as well as energy and food supply problems.

Nonetheless I do believe that both parties have pretty much the same philosophy when it comes to capitalism and lobbying the major blue chip companies. Dems have been nothing short of a very poorly written script for a government as crime and deaths have doubled in many US cities.

Meanwhile medical care costs just continue to go through the roof ā€” goodness knows if anyone will be able to afford healthcare in 10 years time.

How on earth would Trump being in power have averted the invasion of Ukraine?

As mentioned above, Trump actually thought it was a "wonderful", "genius" and "savvy" move by Putin to invade Ukraine. So if anything, the invasion would have been more likely to go ahead - and with Trump's approval to boot.

How many of you actually live in the USA??? You only read the lying media reports in the UK about Trump.... The man actually put Americans first, which he should of done!!! He was great for America, he was great for us people who live here.
Hitler put Germans first (at least the non-Jewish ones).

Well I lived in the US for pretty much all of Trump's time as president (Moving there the week he was elected and leaving in 2020) and think he's batshit crazy, and am still struggling to think of anything he did that "put Americans first".

You do realize that you're able to read newspapers and media from other countries on this thing called "the internet", and so you dont need to only read the "lying media reports in the UK".

Unfortunately, I was there throughout his presidency. He puts himself and the right wing loons first, not the bulk of the population.

Exactly, like all populists (see also Johnson, B) he finds easy targets and makes promises he can't keep, basically telling people what they want to hear. And then the people wonder where it all went wrong.

Not to mention the fact half the stuff he's actually recorded as saying in interviews. You don't need to read articles about it, you can watch it!

Or is that deepfake stuff and not really him?

Although most of those comments he stands by.

Presumably though he's just being manipulated to say the stuff by the deep state.

I mean it's probably not Trump at all whenever you hear him come out with batshit crazy racist, sexist xenophobic nonsense. It'll be be an actor put out by the "Dems" to make him look bad, even though that stuff is the sort of stuff his supporters lap up. But then claim is misrepresented.

I bet the real Trump you never see. Too busy taking down Hollywood paedophile rings, single handedly draining swamps, building walls and educating scientists about windmills (on which he is the world's leading expert of course. Just like every other subject).

What a guy.

Donā€™t forget his biggest media supporter either esp in the early days.

So what is Alex Jones doing now.

From afar, the American political landscape is incredibly interesting (whilst being simultaneously terrifying).

Trump's populist schtick I can understand going down well with certain demographics (essentially the "left behind", see Brexit in the UK) but he also, unless I'm mistaken, attracted quite a bit of the white collar vote? College educated professionals unable to see through him and what he stood for? That's the bit I find hard to comprehend.

As for the war, it would not have been adverted had Trump been in power, but it would certainly have ended much sooner. One of Putin's current considerations appears to be Republican gains in both houses which (may) have the effect of restricting US military financial support for the war?

The democrats have a hard couple of years I think. Depending on mid-terms, Biden could be hamstrung for the rest of his presidency and I'm not sure he's the right person to put up again, given his track record will take a hit and the next election is likely to be even more polarising than the last.

AOC would get my vote every time.

I do wonder if a more radical leftist platform is needed to fend off the GOP although it's easy to forget that anyone who doesn't own a firearm or swear allegiance to flag every 16 minutes is considered a communist.

Fascinating times.

And so it begins (again)...

A Michigan judge harshly rebuked Kristina Karamo, the Republican nominee to be Michiganā€™s top election official, as he rejected a last-minute lawsuit to get tens of thousands of mail-in ballots rejected.

Karamoā€™s campaign filed a last minute challenge seeking to invalidate mail-in ballots in Detroit, which is heavily Black and Democratic, saying the cityā€™s process for validating the mail-in votes ran afoul of state law. A ruling in her favor could have invalidated the votes of 60,000 people who voted by mail already in the city.

But Timothy Kenny, the chief judge for the third judicial circuit, rejected that request on Monday, saying the challengers had not produced any evidence of illegal activity.

ā€œPlaintiffs have raised a false flag of election law violations and corruption concerning Detroitā€™s procedures for the November 8th election. This Courtā€™s ruling takes down that flag,ā€ Kenny wrote in his ruling.

ā€œPlaintiffsā€™ failure to produce any evidence that the procedures for this November 8th election violate state or federal election law demonizes the Detroit City Clerk, her office staff, and the 1,200 volunteers working this election. These claims are unjustified, devoid of any evidentiary basis and cannot be allowed to stand,ā€ he added.

No doubt there will be dozens of attempts to overturn their mid-term elections in the next few days.

'left' is regarded as a four letter word over there. Getting the same over here. Now used as an insult suggesting all out communistic tendencies.

Imagine resisting ussr aggression in the Cold War and then ā€œpatriots ā€œ go and vote for a man who wants to make America russias bitch

I consider myself right of centre myself , but the man is blatantly in the pocket of Putin . Just like a lot of the more extremist elements of the republicans

Of course the F***ing Ukraine war would have happened under trump . The only difference is trump would not be supplying Ukraine . Trump was already making the noises putin wanted to hear regarding nato

Donā€™t forget that he openly backed putin in public against his own spy agency (cia/nsa)

I honestly think the Democrats best chance is the Rock. Trump himself proved you donā€™t actually need to be a politician or be in any way intelligent to win floating votes, you just need to be good at sound bites and good at talking to particular demographics on stage or on camera. The Rock is perfect for the role. I suspect the Dems will be too ā€œsensibleā€ about it though.
