I have the same concerns about the damage a possible Reform Government could do politically and economically in this country. Truly worrying. For years Farage bad mouthed the rest of Europe and some other world countries whilst earning a wad in his time as a Euro MP, embarrassing both himself and the UK. The thought of the likes of him and his cohorts getting to Downing Street is a horror difficult to contemplate

They can't. Most US government debt is in the form of dollar-denominated government securities, such as Treasury bonds, notes, and bills. Firstly, you can't 'call them in'. They are issued with fixed future redemption dates. Holders can either hold them until redemption or sell them to someone else. When redeemed, holders receive US dollars, another form of government debt that the US authorities can issue at will.

Not a great outlook for the mid terms. His control of the house could be decimated, unless he can, ironically, find a quick way to rig the elections.

Will he make the next election?
Drop dead of a heart attack?
Be assassinated?
Be removed from office after impeachment ?
Get Johnsoned by his own house represenatives?

Any other possibilities?

And getting in to a personal slanging match with medvedev whilst talking about moving nuclear subs.
If, IF the US ever get a real government it will take years if not decades to re-wright the laws and structure of the office of POTUS.
The damage to the US’s international standing will be permanent as will the impact on the western world.
