Traore

Couldn’t agree more lads. He should of played every game he was fit and available whilst here. Criminally under used at times, only credit Pulis gets is playing him. But it’s obvious for anyone with a half football brain he should be on the pitch.

Haha !! taking your Bournemouth head off the game, did you Enjoy watching Adama? I bet he had you worried nearly every time he picked the ball up and dribbled at the defence.

I thought we handled him quite well, marked him tight & doubled up. But the one time he escaped, he won the game with a perfect cross. I used to laugh at his final ball, but now he seems the complete article, will be interesting to see how far he goes. Top european club?

Definetly for me.

Even Liverpool double marked him. If you have a good balanced team you should be able to exploit that. Doesn't matter if he's shut out of the game then, everyone else has more space.

That was one of the most frustrating things about not playing in the premier league. He was inconsistent and did have quiet games. But his very presence forced teams to sit deeper and stopped the full back on his side from pushing on too much.

The spurs game at home made this glaringly obvious. That first half they were all over us. We looked like a league one team. Part of that was that their centre backs were practically camped in our half, deckchairs out. We had no pace to worry them so they were able to play a ridiculously high line. As soon as Traore came on they were on the back foot.

Even from a purely defensive standpoint he was worth playing because he stops teams pushing onto you. They can't afford to leave that space in behind.

Apparently he’s scored/created 9 this season . Like mentioned above in essence he stops the opposition playing their game thus enabling space for teammates

His speed and power was always exceptional. His job as an attacking player to me, was to score or put the ball into very dangerous areas for others to score. For example using his turn of pace at just the right time.

Ref starting games : he didn't start many games at Wolves last season, it was not just Boro that he didn't start and at Wolves he was 2 years on from AK days.

Didn’t Wolves manager play him in differeng positions in training so he learnt those players games ? Then accordingly linked in better with them

I think Adama‘s problem getting established has been that he is a bit unconventional for the modern possession game. He is all about explosive bursts which do terminal damage to even the best defences. In a game full of short passing routines some coaches, including Nunes at first, struggle to fit him in.
You can’t keep a player of his remarkable talent out of a team for long though and he is going to be playing at the very very top before long.
And so he should be, in my opinion he’s the most exciting player to go on a football pitch since Diego Maradonna.

Everybody used to bang on about how many assists he had. However, he created opportunities every game he played. People just chose to remember the poor crosses and decisions he made.

The only difference between an assist and just a cross is where the strikers are. In our case that was on the edge of the box or near the half way line. Even Beckham couldn't pick a man out in the box, if they're all in their own half.
