Traore

Can't believe there are still some left in that camp. I'm so disappointed he is not getting a game. The most exciting player to ever wear a Boro shirt. apart from maybe one. the obvious one.
Even more disappointing in that this is a very disappointing Spanish team. Maybe he should have chosen Mali and the African Nations cup.
Well he hasn't set the premier league alight. He has managed just 7 goals, thats a goal every 20 games. He has 14 assists, thats one every 10 games.

You may be disappointed, but the stats describe a decent EPL player, nothing more.

If you base your opinion of players entirely on stats then yes it's perfectly reasonable to not rate Adama.

If you actually watch matches and players, and if you appreciate the skill involved in a winger beating a fullback and getting a ball in to the box then it's very possible you'll rate Adama highly.

Thats the crux of modern football. The stats and numbers are all important. Teams are build on percentages.

Not a game for an exciting player if they lose the ball too much or don't add to the squad percentages. a real shame.

I don't disagree that Traore is exciting to watch, I said as much in my first post. I can see why he isn't picked for Spain, he isn't effective enough, though you could argue htat Spain are pretty ineffective generally.

It fundamentally is important though isn't it?

The number of goals scored in a match determines who has won or lost?

What is a league table if not a list of statistics?

Not the be all and end all though is it. Every game the Wolves management make Traore play as a wing back he becomes a worse winger in the eyes of people judging him through goals/assists per game.

It's not the be all and end all, but it is the only objective measure we have.

maybe we should sign him then - what you reckon 2 million should be enough ? - going rate for CShip non scoring sideways passing player. with an assist rate as bad as that

I would pay to watch him over the over rated Harry Kane any day. As City will soon find out

Whenever Kane get the ball he passes it to one of the footballers and runs in to the box. To get on the end of a pass. Granted hes good at finding the goal, but thats his game. Nothing more. Ever seen him go past a player. Nah. He will have a bad season soon enough just like hes having a bad tournament now.

Poor assist rate, but right up there on chances created.

Says more about Wolves selling one star striker then losing the other through injury than Adama's ability.

If England do meet Spain in the Euros, I hope he doesn't get on the pitch, he'll destroy our defence with his pace and skill

Not sure what you are trying to say there.

Leeds interested. Their fans don’t seem keen. Wolves fans would like to keep him. He doesn’t want to go to Leeds

SAS susssd him straight away. A complete show pony. Traore went for millions and Sas was pretty much hounded off here.

SAS was given none of the protection from the bullies that others are given.

Ridiculous rewriting of history.

Imagine being so petty that you'd leave the board because you can't stand to see a boro player playing well.

I've said on the various Spence threads that I'd sell him if the decision was mine. But if he stays and plays brilliantly this season I'll be buzzing for him! Certainly wouldn't be slinking off the board about it. I want all Boro players to play well!

Sas wasn’t hounded off anywhere. He got the hump when the Leeds game (3-0 Bamford hattrick) went ahead despite loads of snow. He was desperate for it to be called off so he could be proved right. Very strange man.

There was nothing petty about Sas. A proper decent poster, who was right about the show pony. There was quite a lot of jealousy of his success in property.
