We do tend to cover those bases but after the season he has had I am not convinced he will kick on. He has also developed a worrying ability to wave his arms around petulantly rather than take responsibility for his positioning or lack of concentration.

We’ve signed two U21s it’s very early in the window.. bit of an open secret that Hackney & RVDB are off.

Ayling without an injury would suit being back up to that right hand side of a three man defence.. Barlaser could well soar under Edwards.. equally so was named as a player that could be up for sale in January.

Burgzorg is class.. no one wants to admit it.. but it’s true. Silvera was brought in as an upgrade to the outgoing academy lads.. looked like he might be more suited as a striker. Went on loan to Blackpool.. chances are he’ll move on this summer. Edmunson is a squad player.. he seems to have a handful of games every season. We’re looking to bring in five big players.. there’s money there as well saw in January.

When we do bring in players.. they tend to be of a decent standard. Edwards is a good coach.. sounds like it was a flip of a coin between him and Carrick. Viveash is class.

The prices are shyt.. hopefully we get a hold of that. Hackney for £20m and RVDB for £7m with a huge add on.. even better with Jesurun Rak-Sakyi thrown in.

Plenty of decent names being thrown around.. not too bothered we’re missing out on scraps.

Ayling’s done. Absolutely done. He was getting skinned regularly before his injury. He played in the centre remember? And it led to a benny hill type moment where he tried to pull out a Cruyff turn in his own box and we conceded from it.

Burgzorg is class? Sure, if you like a ball roll and then a shot blazed over the bar, he’s sensational. Huddersfield fans couldn’t wait to see the back of him, and they got relegated. I haven’t seen anything of him to suggest he’s anything better than a lower championship clogger.

We lost 18 games last season with better players than the ones we’ve currently got. If the Championship wasn’t as poor as it was last season, we’d have been languishing in the bottom half of the table. And so far, we’ve done nothing to improve our fortunes.

We don’t have the money, or the manager available to do it. And we’re being charged staggeringly high prices for the pleasure.

It all just feels like we’re swinging wildly in the dark and hoping we hit something. But I have very little confidence that we will. And no matter how much blind optimism the club pushes out on the socials about how great we look in training, or how great the players are looking in training, I can’t look past the fact these players are the same ones who failed last season and will fail again.

I enjoy discussing things with people (most of the time) and I enjoy the speculation of potential incoming and outgoing when it's closed season.
I put "ITK" at the top of my initial post so people knew it was genuine info and not rumour or made up mischevious info.

If what I've said doesn't come off, as it may not yet - things change all the time, I'll be labelled a fool. That's why I generally keep my mouth shut.

I like hunger, drive and that bit of unpredictability.

I was ITK once. Huth to Stoke for £5m. Worked with a Stoke fan, who knew someone who knew someone etc connected with the club.

Fans' and players' player of the year at 19 when most of our 19 year old academy lads haven't made a single appearance.

we had a huge turnover in January if that’s any consolation.. and we managed to bring in the likes of Morgan Rogers.

we’ll be fine.. maybe.. possibly not.

I’ve heard that we’ve got quite a few deals that are close.. could be a whole new picture in the next week or so.

Loosing Hackney and RVDB would both be big blows.. but if we reinvest right we should be better for it. gone are the days of paying double bubble for garbage.. bargain beauties is the name of the game!

Young fringe player.

The club have also decided that the model of bringing in young players with high potential / future sale value is not something that should happen 'as a rule'.
So, expect to see some more experienced players coming in with less of a high future potential value, but offer more in the way of experience.
The model is being 'tweaked' shall we say.

Going from possession based play to gengen is a tweak.. I’m sure the review has noticed the huge hole in the squad where our defensive players are supposed to be!

Most of the review will never be known, out of respect to former personnel and to keep important info out of the opposition's hands going forward.

We did have a defence, and he was probably the main part of it. He made some absolute howlers and was caught out of position more times than enough. Naïve is probably the kindest word you could use to describe him.

He had a half decent first season, nothing more. But having watched last season I won’t be sad to see the back of any defender that was a part of it.

Not one of our defenders made 40 appearances.. only Borges managed 35!

Our defence was wiped out through injuries.. add into that our severe lack of defensive midfielders and our problems become multiplied.

Morris and Hackney are great but imo it was a bit like having Garrard and Lampard playing together. We needed.. a Michael Carrick lol

What is confusing me is the money we may have to spend. If we got 22 for LL and the figures suggested of 15 for VDB and 22 for HH, then Azaz for say 12, that’s a total of 71 million. Even if Gibbo agreed we could spend half of it, that is a massive amount of money being spent on new players. If we are not spending that kind of money then what is the actual plan? I reckon we must be looking overseas for players that Scott believes are suited to being top quality in the Championship.
