I know its not my money but a reported £8m fee seems way above what we should be paying.

Just a word of caution, these early reports of rumoured bids that the pressers get, its usually means with all add-ons applied , so sometimes they say its 'wortth' this much but lateley they dont bother because they are total 'baiters and 'baiters gotta bait. So if that is true, can easily see that as 8 for Rav and 12 for Hackney , upfront, with 7 for addons combined, which is meh .

RVDB is a funny one. Similar to Rogers really. £15m seems like good business now, but you just know that he'll have a good season at Palace, then they'll be able to fetch £70m for him.

If true, this would be good as I reckon things need a little rebalancing. Don't want to throw the baby out with the bathwater but we definitely need to to focus more on the likes of Conway and Morris than Hamilton.

A lot of these fees are over inflated anyway.. € gets reported as £ and ‘deals’ get reported as fees.
Reported to be on around £27.5k a week.. 3 year deal is £4.125m straight away. Stick a £2.775m transfer fee on it.. £6.9m.. €8m total.. report it as £8m
That’s just going of stuff picked off the internet.. speculative wages etc.

Look, i got told this today from someone inside the club. What 'evidence' do you want? A video recording of our conversation along with birth certificates and passports?
I'm not trying to claim any kudos or to convince anyone of anything.
I know us fans love to get info about what's happening so I thought I'd share it on here. There's lots more info I could share but that WOULD come across as rumour since not everything I hear about comes off in the end.

A poster with no history of being ITK claiming that Boro are selling two of our best assets under-value. And we’re supposed to just accept it?
TBH. I think what I’m most ***ed off about is at the moment it looks like I’m going to be watching Boro turning out with Ayling, Barlaser, Burgzorg, Silvera, Edmundson etc all in the mix, under a manager on a downward trajectory and paying record high prices to do it. I need some positivity, and if this is true, and we’re selling Rav & Hackney for a combined £27million. I’ll lose what little faith I have left.

His posts throughout the summer have been consistent from what I remember. Certainly doesn’t come across as a Walter Mitty type. I tend to appreciate his info. An attention seeker tends to be on all the time spouting off. His posts are to the point and quite focused.

I enjoy rumours - I'm sure sometimes there is some truth - the majority of the time it is rubbish.
It stimulates discussion if nothing else.
I think most fans will be disappointed with the fees we eventually get if Hackney/ RVDB leave. Both could make it big or struggle.
I also liked the table someone put up with Hackney leading Europe in progressive passes... 3rd in that table Barry Bannan must also be commanding 20m (or progressive passes is a middling stat on its own).

We’ve signed two U21s it’s very early in the window.. bit of an open secret that Hackney & RVDB are off.
Ayling without an injury would suit being back up to that right hand side of a three man defence.. Barlaser could well soar under Edwards.. equally so was named as a player that could be up for sale in January.
Burgzorg is class.. no one wants to admit it.. but it’s true. Silvera was brought in as an upgrade to the outgoing academy lads.. looked like he might be more suited as a striker. Went on loan to Blackpool.. chances are he’ll move on this summer. Edmunson is a squad player.. he seems to have a handful of games every season. We’re looking to bring in five big players.. there’s money there as well saw in January.
When we do bring in players.. they tend to be of a decent standard. Edwards is a good coach.. sounds like it was a flip of a coin between him and Carrick. Viveash is class.
The prices are shyt.. hopefully we get a hold of that. Hackney for £20m and RVDB for £7m with a huge add on.. even better with Jesurun Rak-Sakyi thrown in.
Plenty of decent names being thrown around.. not too bothered we’re missing out on scraps.

I’d want multiple add ons and a sell on fee on that. We’ve done the hard work of playing him through his mistakes as a kid
