Train strikes

Just has a look and can't find any confirmation whether the crossrail will be running which is ****.
They may run a limited service on the Shenfield to Liverpool Street part of the line; they did this during the last set of strikes but Crossrail as a single entity isn't really a thing yet. It's still a number of separate lines. They even have different sets of timetables. The line out to Reading is similar to the line to Reading from Waterloo where you need to buy separate tickets once you reach a certain point (Feltham & West Drayton respectively).

Its likely that they'll run a skeleton service, there'll be managers and scabs working id imagine.

Its not about that. It's about whether the company that runs crossrail are striking or not and if they are not striking will they be able to run trains due to strikes affecting the infrastructure they use.

Don't know if they are trains or tubes. Last tube strike the crossrail ran. Not sure what happens in a rail strike.

Both tfl and national rail are striking on the 19th I think. Tfl certainly are so the Elizabeth line will definitely be affected. As others have said, the Paddington to Reading line uses national rail infrastructure anyway so its bound to be affected

They didn't even polish me Nobby. I spent all day on the go, with people climbing in and out of me and dropping litter inside me, They wouldn't even let me socialise with the other trains. It was really traumatic.
No wonder you went off the rails.

I had a dream mate. I wanted to be an aeroplane but you have to work your way up. At the age of three I got a job as a roller skate and after that I was a tricycle for a bit. I was ambitious, so I applied to be a mountain bike but I froze at the interview and I ended up becoming a Raleigh Grifter with knackered gears instead. I was a car for a while and I studied really hard to become a train, only to find out that being a train is really crap.

I think I’d rather be a submarine

The OP is misleading. As cap @Unravel_Morrison said, the strike on the day of the Reading match is an RMT one so the whole network is affected. The so-called Elizabeth Line will be affected no less than GWR on that day.
Are you managing to hitch a lift to Reading Capybara? If so I will keep an eye out for you as I should be putting in one of my infrequent appearances...

No, I won't be going. The likely lack of trains was the last straw.

Yes also not going to this game because of the train issues. At least there will be no problem getting a ticket for this one. Watford my next away game.

I can't imagine that the Elizabeth line will running out to Reading on the 20th as its an RMT strike, which means the tube lines that use national rail signalling will be affected, which I believe this does

Why do you say that Facefuzz? I have never been, but looking at getting tickets for this one. Just wondered what is so bad about it so I am prepared.
It’s just beige. Their fans don’t do much and it’s miles from anything
