I know there is a Velogames thread, but this is for those not in the game, or only involved in the Tour game, not the season long contest.

Here's a link to Velogames, https://www.velogames.com
for those that want to have a go (rules are explained on there).
The FMTTM 2025 Mini LeageLeague code is 137608910

There are 17 entries so far.

Not the easiest for selections this year and they have priced Pogacar so high that he is a real gamble.... ie. if he has a mishap, that's a third of your team cost up in smoke.

Very much looking forward to seeing everyon's selections at the weekend. A very dicey first stage. Let's just hope there are no serious mishaps. Crosswinds forecast, so maybe echelon racing. As the saying goes, the tour can't be won on the stage, but it can be lost.

I'm currently in Brittany, a beautiful little seaside town called Saint Cast le Guildo to be precise, and the weather is looking set for a hot start to the race.
I've put my provisional team in, but I might tweak.it yet. Pog is definitely a risk at that price, but if he wins as expected then it'll take a magician to come up with a non-Pog team to win the league. As ever, I'll be a wannabe Harry Potter in trying to do it.

Ive gone no Pog to be honest.
I couldn't be bothered trying to scratch together a tean what was left of the budget if I selected Pog

It is possible, but it requires a certain amount of "watch every race on the calendar" type nerdery. It will be interesting to see howmany teams swing either way. Unless I get a last minute DNS, I am happy with my team now ... and have gone with the Pog gamble.

Non Pog for me, A lot of the scores for other riders have been reduced for example Phillipson was 16 last year and the most expensive sprinter this year he's 12 and joint most expensive.

For those that are interested Pog scored 3841 points last year over 1100 more that 2nd and 3rd and nearly 2000 more than 4th so that would suggest putting him in your team.

Maybe I need to change!!!!!

I think the sprinters could be priced lower because there isn't as many flat stages this year so scoring potential isn't as high as other years.

Your correct there is 1 less sprint stage but I just used that as an example and you would assume the climbers or all rounders would be higher but they are also a bit less.

There's a chance that some sprinters won't make it to the last two sprint stages... and the final stage has the Monmartre climbs to make life very difficult for them. But I do expect quite a few sprints in the first 10 days, even if they are reduced bunch.

I managed to get a reduced TNT Sports subscription from D+, but it runs out in the Autumn. I will probably sack it off then, unless they extend the deal.

@borolad259 was going to set up a separate thread to the Cycling thread as spoilers are not welcome in there. Might as well use this one so could I ask you please to add contains spoilers in the thread title? Would like to discuss the action whilst it is happening.

There’s still enough I think. What I think George has done nicely is price the GC contenders high and price the puncheurs and sprinters about the same so that we can have decent teams. Pogacar is a third of the budget so it’s sensible to price the sprinters and stage hunters at 12 and below.
