Tory peer Michelle Mone to take leave of absence from Lords

Surely at some point, the party will be split into two, I'd guess that Reform is already the start of it. The mad brexiteer, ideology based, uber-equivocators will move to Reform and take a sizeable number of dunderheads with them. It'll shear 30% of the Tory vote. The remaining middle-ground, non-ideological Tories will be left with a seriously damaged party which will take a decade or more to restore.

But at least we will have a second party that is a bit more central. Labour won't be in for ever and if and when the tories get back in its less damaging if they are more central.

Unfortunately some UK residents will always think that poor people are lazy and the safety net needs to be smaller.

“ I am absolutely shocked at the revelations about Mone"

Very unlikely that a person like Mone would take leave of HoL voluntarily.
Obviously instructed by the whips office to…Get out of town. Now!

So Sunak in the Commons says "I am absolutely shocked at the revelations about Mone" and yet as Chancellor of the Exchequer he would have authorised the very payments to her newly formed Company. This needs investigating immediately Gove is up to his neck in this for one and there will be more involved. It stinks.
I think what he meant to say was, shocked that they’ve been caught fiddling again

Early days, tip of the iceberg stuff.

When Hancock blurts out that she bullied him, you know for a fact he has done something wrong.

Same with Gove.

When the lid properly comes off this, it is going to stink like a local beach.

Good job they got the big calls right, opened all those new hospitals and levelled up. Otherwise they will have hell to pay at the polls.😉

She clearly had leverage over them. So they either squeal about their collusion in her corruption OR they admit what she had over them

Wonder why Mone ended up today in Honduras, couldn’t possibly have anything to do with the fact we don’t have an extradition treaty with them, could it?
She'll be nipping down to Panama to check her bank bakance, then the Cayman Islands and then the British Virgin Islands. Probably stop off in Luxembourg, Lichtenstain and Jersey on the way back to a long stay in Switzerland.

Surely she should have her passport removed? She is a flight risk

Well, she won't be able to fly away on their private Jet, which they bought after fleecing us all dry with their useless PPE, as they are now trying to sell it, along with quite a few other assets bought with their ill gotten gains. According to some sources they are apparently looking to move to Southern Europe. Probably on e of the low tax countries, like Monaco or Cyprus.
