And would rather have a government whitewash in about 4 years time. Those voting against a parliamentary inquiry include all the teesside tory MPs.
Another brexit bonus and a victory for cronyism.
Still you get what you vote for

Which is a shame, because those who are a little better informed politically, or who look beyond the Daily Mail and Sun for ’information’ regarding who to vote for, or who believe that a fairer country is actually achievable and rising poverty and foodbank usage by those employed is a national scandal, or who are aware of media manipulation and political bias and the levels of Government corruption and dishonesty, have to suffer ALONG with those who, through naivety or ignorance voted against their own best interests without ever realising it.

It‘s F***ing soul destroying.

Calling naive or innocently ignorant people thick doesn’t help the situation at all though. It plays into the hands of the people who want to keep them ‘thick’. There are often reasons why some people are ‘thick’ and that might be because they’ve not had much chance to be anything other than that.
And just because somebody is ‘thick’ it doesn’t mean they are a bad person or are willingly voting to make things worse for everybody.
Rather than be angry at them, or blame them, it’s the system in place to keep us all dumbed down (and easier to manipulate) that is the problem.

Brexit showed perfectly that calling people who are being manipulated or who aren’t very well informed ‘thick’ does not achieve anything other than alienating and angering those very people who you are hoping to educate and inform, resulting in them becoming even further entrenched in their ‘view’.

It’s respectful engagement and factual information presented kindly and sympathetically that is required to make political change in the minds of those ‘thick’ people, in my opinion.
But that’s also the hardest and most frustrating thing to do!

Is been a while prior to 2019 that the tories have had a majority. 2019 was a one off and I don't see that happening again in a hurry. In 2019 too many Labour voters stayed at home.
The danger is that these working class people that voted Tory have become radicalised. They're effectively some of the most dangerous terrorists because the harm they have created with a Tory government hurts everyone of us.
