Tories battered

Why? That would be swapping a government I’m not happy with, for a government I’m not happy with. It doesn’t matter which one is worse if they’re both bad. I don’t believe Labour represent the working class anymore.

It was a party founded by union workers to protect workers rights, and currently it isn’t supporting the union in its strikes. There is no option for the left, except maybe the Green Party.

It might all change if Starmer is found guilty and quits.
Their polices represent the working classes more than the tories.
There's no comparison in sleeze and corruption, if you don't vote to keep them out your endorsing them.
You have fallen for the they are all as bad as each other shyte, which they are clearly not

It makes me so angry constantly getting the reply of "they are all as bad as each other " thats the logic of a 5yr old...of course they are NOT all the same...
Starmer the same a s Bozo? Cooper the same as Patel? Streeting the same as Javid ? and I wont even go to the throwback to Victorian times...reasoning seems to be in very short supply

So you vote for whoever keeps the tories out surely?

I’ll look through the manifesto of each party when the time comes and decide that way.

I’ve voted Labour all my life, I’m just not sure on it this time around.

I get this too, but I think it's more about excusing the **** poor judgement in voting for BJ in the first place, than it is about anything else.

I think a lot if people feel let down by him and embarrassed that they actually backed him in the first place, especially the Brexit generation, who love his persona and the feelings he creates of Britian at the height of the Empire.

This was all a facade of course, but nevertheless a very effective one.

If you are normally a Labour voter you must surely see the necessity to get rid of the current Tory offering?

Ordinarily yes, but there’s normally a viable alternative. I don’t see Labour as a decent alternative at the moment.

I think anything would be better than the current right wing shambles, I never thought I would see a Tory government worse than the Thatcher debacle but Johnson has somehow managed it.

You think labour are worse than the tories?
I'd love to know what reason he has to dislike Starmer mind, seems a decent enough guy. Maybe not very flamboyant and interesting in a media friendly way but who give a f... he's intelligent, isn't constantly full of nonsense and waffle, comes from a moderate background so knows what the normal person needs, and he's a proper footy fan rather than into wiff waff and impregnating random women

So you won't vote tactically and could potentially vote Tory? That's fine, but with everything they are doing to this country, are you sure you want 7 more years of that?

Very strange thing for a lifelong Labour voter to say. Attitude like that will just keep the Tories in power.

So what you're saying is you don't want to vote against this clown.....

That's the salient point isn't it? I get that people might not feel they are affiliated to a certain party or not look it's direction. But the stone cold, undisputed, proven time and time again fact is: this attitude enables no one but the Tories. You can come back and talk about manifestos and feelings and not liking a certain person but the simple, inalienable fact is, that attitude will give us more years of Tory rule

I will never vote Tory for as long as I live.

I agree it is strange. It’s not a nice feeling to have, usually I have aligned with the views of Labour, not all of them, but most.

I don’t anymore, I don’t know who will get my vote. I’ll decide nearer to the time. This week Labour have been shown up by an RMT Unionist who is asking the questions and making the points Labour should be. Why is Starmer silent?

I don’t see a Labour government under Starmer as much different to this one.
