Fantastic achievement for Tony and so thoroughly deserved for someone that seems almost addicted to fundraising and helping people. He cannot stop himself from helping those in need.
Over the past 6 plus years, he first worked as part of Boro Real Fans Believe In Dreams
They do as they say in their name, make Boro fans dreams come true by raising money for tickets, ground tours, season tickets for deserving families - people that would never otherwise be able to experience the Riverside.
Tony then broadened his scope to help families in need as founding trustee of the Teesside Family Foundation where he is constantly organising fundraising nights, even on awards night. Holiday caravans/cabins to give those having really tough breaks in life a chance to get away are one of the many lasting legacies of Tony's work.
Tony says on facebook:
"We are simply working-class people who have given up countless hours of free time to create a charity to ensure the money you donate or help us raise goes to help and support the people who need it most on Teesside. We are all part of the cog that makes people smile, changes lives and creates memories."

Lovely bloke is Tony, know him really well, when my younger brother passed away he got in touch with me asking if he could call round to talk about my brother & ask something of the family

On the day he arrived he spoke of how the charity works, Boro dreams, spoke of how well he knew my brother, how well he was known in the town for his Boro support over the years & also his music & wanted to give something back to our family
Tony asked if I / we would could consider allowing his son, who was 7 at the time, to be mascot & lead out the Boro team at home to Derby on the 2nd January 2016, though it had to go to a vote between 3 children, my nephew won & what a day both my nephew & I had on the day, going in to the officials changing room where my nephes put ion his Boro strip & as I was stood next to the tunnel he led out Leadbitter & the team, a very emotional day indeed
