Tony Mowbray

I wouldn’t think any less of him. Made clear at the end of his Blackburn time that he’d missed years of his kids growing up but taking the jobs he did, so this would be one of the few jobs within a decent distance

Me neither, he has to think of his family. Loads of Championship experience. 40 minute commute to work. I'm sure he'd still get a cracking reception here if he took the job.

Love Mogga but wouldn’t have him back as manager. The last 12 months of him in charge were brutal and Barnsley away in particular was awful to hear all the abuse going his way.

He always seems to turn us over as opposition manager mind so could do without him going there.

Although they don’t care about Boro I get the feeling he will get even less time than others when things aren’t going well.

And when it isn’t going well, out comes the vile kiddy fiddler abuse. He doesn’t deserve that.

Hope he does get it, he won’t get a top job in this league anymore so it’s about as good as he can hope for. With the new owners and plenty of money they probably have more potential than quite a few clubs in this league

My hero as a kid growing up. Met him a couple of times in various settings, always a top bloke. Would wish him nothing but success in any job, just not in the days he plays us (he has a good record against us)

I wouldn't think less of him either.

And haven't we always given Sunderland a hand up? We've lent them the odd kid like Downing, or the occasional vetran like Coops over the years, and no one has a problem with that.

In return their better players, Arca,McNair, Phillips aspire to playing for us.

They are thick as fook! as genuinely quality manager and they’re going mad about the mere suggestion?!?!
Football fans tend to remember how it ended above anything else. I’ve got loads of mates who are Sunderland fans and have memories of Mowbray being hounded out here.

They are slightly bemused why Boro fans are bigging him up when the perception is that he failed here.
